(NWN Criticism == Temp Suspension) :P
(edit) What the deuce? Wasn't this? Oh no! it's happening again! I knew I shouldn't have eaten the purple mushrooms!
I thought the armor and everything was expensive as well, but you find lots of better junk throughout your quests, so there was really no point saving all the cash. I paid 500 for most of my good weaposn in Chapter 1... that was just to the weird dwarf who made magical weapons though. I'm still using Re's Redemption throughout much of my quest.
Well, my Dwarven Fighter (Baalin Iroff) uses mostly stuff I found on other people, but what kinda does tick me off is that you'll find a magical item, sell it to the people for like 1/10th of what they charge for it!
I hated when I spent 6k gold buying a ring, and then 10 minutes later I get a better one and I sell the purchased ring back for 1/10th of what I bought it for.
Yeah, with the SoU expansion, they add in an "appraisal" skill that determines the buy/sell rate that items have. The rogue I'm playing now gets some awesome bargains.
I miss my dwarven fighter Mad Harry (yes, I have no imagination naming my charecters). Mmmm, battle axe, my favorite weapon. By the end he had the red dragon armor, and the Sentinal battle axe. He could carve up a gang of enimies quicker than I can down a mug of ale!
I made a group of 5 archers once, they get really really really nasty at higher levels
Plus I had a group of all bomb tossing mages once, that was sweet too...
Multiplayer was very cool... man seeing all this NWN stuff makes me wanna re-install it.
edit: woopsy, my swiss cheese brain just realized that dungeon sige (what the top part of my post was about) and NWN are two diffrent games I had a really cool Trap Thief in NWN Dungeon Sige was cool for like 20 min.
It's sitting on my hard drive right now. Waiting to be played!
I must go find Baalin's save file. I miss him. a Greataxe Dwarf!
Also, i'm considering making either a Female Monk or a Female archer (the Monk would be human, Archer would be either Elf or Half-Elf. Which ever one has the coolest looks, which is Half-Elf.
I had a female human Cleric named Destiny (yes, there I go with the names, I need a fanatsy naming book). I must say I underestimated how powerful a cleric could be, I thought that it would just be healing and stuff like that, but it wasn't.
Oh yeah... I think everyone's first character is a sorc.

Meh, the economy isn't the greatest in that game, but it's fun to play. I also have the SOU Expansion set. I'm probably going to get the Hordes of Underdark or something like that when it somes out.
My Elf Rogue/Assassin, Dranak ShadowStar had some nice stuff, some nice scrolls (Yes I had use magic item, that's one of the few benifits to being a rogue.) as well as a nice set of daggers, and rapiers, most things went down in no time for me.
Also with the new expac they're raising the levels to 40, and adding 6 new presitege classes, sadly none are rogue-based and they STILL havn't added backstab. (Which means I may not get it.)
Also I need help in chapt 2, I got stuck trying to find the wolves and I didn't find that guys mother or do the quest having to recover the kid from the thieves, can anyone PM me with some help? :[ Thinking of actually just exporting my char and starting over agian with the chapt.

Wish at least can backfire on you and is up to the DM's interpretation.
NWN was ok overall, but I didn't like the general mauling of the 3rd Edition rules (I'll never like real time, EVER in an RPG). It was good times making a trap filled dungeon and getting players to go through it almost solely on good use of spells/wits. I never bought the expansion though, probably improves the game a lot from what I've heard.
I just got NWN gold yesterday.. I stopped playing at 3rd edition PNP so a lot is new to me. I thought the game was a bit... hard? The first time I fought a gang leader it took six reloads, each time taking about 10 minutes each. Then the intellect devourer alone took about two and a half hours, plus a crapload of gold which I had to spend because at most my longsword only did about 2-5 damage due to the damage absorb. Not fun. (btw ima paladin)
*Edit*
I have now come to the conclusion that setting the violence to the highest setting then using turn undead to make zombies explode in a mass of pus is one of the coolest things ever.
NWN sucks, not the people that play it. I guess its considered flaming now a days to bash a crappy game. Or rather to have an opinion that deviates from the masses...
No, we encourage thoughtful dissent here. Key word there is thoughtful. If I say that something is crappy, I should be able to back it up... AND be within forum rules. I didn't see your nuked post, but I'm positive it was nuked for a reason.

By that point you should have found at least one or two +1 weapons. If you have an idea of what weapon you want to use, you can easily find a +1 and use your Feat's to specialize in it.
I have a Great Axe +1, with two feat's adding add'tl damage to my Greataxe skill. I do an average of 15-40 with my GreatAxe +1, and 5-15 with my Greatsword +1
...and I'm of a different breed... I don't see how people can play turn-based RPGs. I need something quicker paced. I don't want to cue actions, and I honestly think that it didn't affect the game.

Personally I think NWN is one of the best games ever, yet I never finished the campaign (The expension campaign though, it was great). Download some user made modules from http://nwvault.ign.com/index2.shtml to see why.

My stats:
Fighter (7) Barbarian (1)
Str - mod'ed 21
Con - mod'ed 20
Int - mod'ed 11
Wisdom - unmodd'ed 9
Cha - unmodd'ed 6.
I should really reinstall it and start playing again, with my fighter/archer thingy. Yes, Must play.
