The Job Thread
Pretty simple thread, what do you do for a crust?
I am currently employed at a club under 3 positions.
1.) Doorman - Checking IDs, processing membership applications, paging people, etc.
2.) Bartender - Tap monkey
3.) GPU - General Purpose Useful AKA Glassy AKA Picking up glasses, whipping down ashtrays
Oh well, it's pretty good pay. Long as hell hours though. I'm lucky to get 2 days off a week now.
So there you go, have at it.

The reason for this is i left my full time job up in the city so i could go to university. Neeeeed.... moneyyyyyyy....
Also, a lot of them are cute. ^^
Work for my school from 2-6 AM on any given day, allowing students who forget their keys access to the dorms (and keeping the scary people out), and checking for theft in the parking lots. Great hours, Great wages. Too bad school still starts bright'n'early.
its a tough life.
On the last two weaks of the holidays, I work at my little sister's school, helping out with anything realy. The principal is a friend of my mom. The other times I work for my dad, setting up data bases, typing up stuff, etc.
Me and my friends are trying to go and work at Disney World during summer vacation.

Ditto.
Same here, along with <a href='http://nmrh.hlgaming.com' target='_blank'>game development.</a>
Exellent pay and a foot in the door for game design.

Ooooooooo! Keep us up to date on that! <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Advantages: It's easy. It's in walking distance. I get free use of the gym, golf course and I get bed and breakfast for ?5 (four star hotel). Lots of good people there. If I decide to walk in to the kitchen some day they give me a free meal <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Disadvantages: It's very hot, I hate the heat. It's a dirty job sometimes. The smell of some food is awful. Chemicals are itchy/burning if you decide to touch a surface you forgot you spilt/used chemical on and not cleaned up yet.
It pays good, the guys that I work with are great <b>AND</b> I have nice managers.
But if any of you say "Are you lovin it?" I will personally hurt you.
@Renagade...I certianly will. I will try not to go the route of Ken20Banks, but as demanding as this job will be....Im not sure it can be avoided :/
Seriously, I sincerely hope you'll succeed.
I'm currently doing my social service (for all ye slackers in countries without of drafts, that's what you're doing when you don't want to be trained to shoot people.). I'm working as a general helper in a psychatric clinic, which invloves lots of smiling, patient listening, and the handling of astonishing amounts of dirty laundry, both of the metaphorical and the literal kind.
