<div class="IPBDescription">At high schools.</div> At my future high school I realized that there is a less-than-pleasent "initiation" canned "niners day" where we (the grade nines) have to ditch a whole day of classes and act like 5 year olds or get the crap beaten out of us. Anybody else here have any cooky initiation stories?

Yeah, my school only has that kind of stuff for sports teams, AFAIK.

It seems that the girl's sports do it more, even if it is a little bit more tame (like being wrapped in duct tape) but the normal guy's sports do it too (like football) to a more severe extent.

I have never been on a sports team, so I don't know for sure....

Maybe there is an initiation at my school and I just kinda missed it... that would explain the sitting along on friday nights thing <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

freshman friday barely exists.

Trust me, no school would ever put up with the mass hazing of an entire grade.

Yes, some people will get picked on, a few might even get beaten up. But not much happens. Mostly seniors just have fun with the little froshies, make them do silly things and what not but thats it.

My school ussed to have freshman friday (first friday of the first full week of school). Worst things that ever hapened:
Kid got duct taped to a fence (guys involved got susspended)
People get rolled down the hill accrose the street. Most people don't get in trouble, no one ever got hurt.
Kid got tossed in the trunk of a car. People involved got suspended.

LOTS of freshies get picked on and told to do silly things (most do them, if a kid honestly dos'nt feel like it no one will actualy force him, its jut peer preasurE)

Now however thanks to the school shootings and the genrall population freaking out about school violence NOTHING happens, cus they have NYPD patroling <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> have a good time, it aint gona be hard (note I am 3 years out of HS now, thus all of this is history for me <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

Trust me when I say it's a load of BS. When I was in primary school we were told that the sixth years (the oldest year in High School) would flush your head in the toliets. One day every year people bring in blades and march out of the school to fight with people from the other school at a designated meeting point. I went once and nothing happened. From what I hear now nothing happens at all.

I'm a sixth year now. We don't usually bother with first years (youngest in High School) but we ourselfs tend to get into trouble a lot. One incident recently included several sixth years breaking into a burnt down area of the building and smoking. They got caught because they left really obvious white footprints leading from there to our common room <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> It was funny until everyone got locked out of the common room.

You CAN NOT BUY a pass for: The pool, the lounge, the elevator
and there is no pool on the top floor/roof

My first day of school got me a nickname that stuk through out.
Bunch of senior girls were trying to humiliate freshmen, so they get me to stand up and try and have me sing I'm a little teapot. One major flaw, I honestly didn't know the words <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Trashcans were the worst physical abuse any freshman went through at my school, granted im 4 years outta High School, but I imagine it still happens a little, and it was only like 1 or 2 morons that did it to a unlucky kid.

oh ya, sometimes the 'hot' girls would try to screw with freshmen by flirting with them and try to get them all uncomfortable...... kinda funny to watch actually, especially when one of the kids starts going with it

I went through some stuff freshman year, though it leans more towards bullying than hazing. Generally speaking there wasn't any hazing of the lowerclassmen (aside from the infequent baying of one of the more aggressive ones).

hehe, Most people thought I was an upperclassmen any way (after said first day of school I generaly hung around seniors who didn't go for the stupid freshmen friday)

Freshman Friday is pretty small at my High School, but there are a few things that happen.

One kid got duct taped to the stall door in the bathroom upside down and peed on. I know it sounds really cruel, but I find it hilarious, because he had it comin. Obnoxious little idiot. He was in there for a whole set before someone found him and let him down from there.

The kids that did it got suspended, though.

The only type of hazing that went on in my high school (apart from the stuff on an every day basis that is) was stuff like teeping the kid's house or something.

I know one thing, if that had happened to me I'd probably be going to jail for stabbing someone to death in self defense.

Don't worry, it's only a minority. At most, sometimes it's a little fun thing between sports or clubs.
But anything that's harmful I condemn.
