Heh, Freshman Friday. While about 5 or so years ago you would have something to worry about, these days there really isn't anything to concern you. I can almost garuantee you won't get touched... the worst I got on my freshman friday was cans kicked in my general direction, spitballs, etc.

Four years ago, when I was in 9th grade, a senior tried to throw me in a trash can. He was joining the marines. I beat him up. GG.

I think highschool hazing should be more extreme than it is now...It makes me mad how kids these day's have to whine and cry about everything. I'm only a junior in highschool but it dosn't take a genius to figure out that kids are turning into wusses.

When I was a freshman I was on the football team and all the seniors would either beat the hell out of us (in a painful, but not violent way). I got like 3 swirlies too...lol.

Also before football practice, if we are 1 second late, we have to do 50 hit and ups/up downs. Every once in a while the seniors would lock us up in the equipment room....My friend and I would try to escape....but that would only increase the pain lol.

Don't be a tard and fight back...In the end they will resepct you and you will respect them....Have fun!

**** like this doesnt happen in the aussie selective school that i go to

thats because 99% are asian and nerds

the only thing that happens is sometimes some asian hardcore [im saying 'asian' a lot, arent i? well, it features heaps in our school haha] guy stops studying for 3 seconds and tries to make out that someone hopefully smaller than he is, 'disrespected him'.

if it comes to a fight, just fight him, he will be scared that the bruises will distract him in a test!

First off some advice: Don't act scared, if you don't and just act normal people will think your cool for a freshman and actually invite you to hang out with them.

Really the only people you have to watch out for are the softmores. They think their cool cause there not freshmen and will take any chance they get to tease and beat em up.

Not going into it...

In an old Boy Scout troop, we would lock the newbies in the trailer, and shake it a-hella lot. ^_^

Basically they would just hold us down and give us dead arms until we could support our weight lol....ommmggg, then they would knee us on our thighs and we could barely walk...har har.

I never said you have to beat someone up to earn their respect. But if there is initiation at your school and you try fighting back...then the odds are against you. I guarantee you if you are the kid that fights back and you have an attitude, they will just keep going for you because it's entertaining. There was one kid in my class who was also on the football team and they practically tortured that kid...Mentally most of the time. If your cool about everything and just kind of go along with it all, they usually respect you.

By the end of football season, I was best friends with all the seniors....I'm a junior now and the seniors that "hazed" us still come back to my house and stay a couple nights just to hang out.

I crashed my truck on a guard rail next to the high school one day, it was so loud that the princ. and VicePrinc were already out there as I calmly parked my truck. I got out and looked at the damage ($1000 worth) and let out a string of obscenities that made them both blush (every single word I knew, and some I made up), but I didn't get in trouble for it, hell I was cussing as I was walking through the school to my locker, and then when I got there I started laughing because I said all of those thing in front of the Princ and VP! My friends said they could hear me out in the parking lot from the other side of the school, it was great!

Nowadays most of the first years are neds. They are not scared and are looking for trouble most of the time. Even if you do beat them up they will bounce back later and start throwing obscenities at you again in their annoying, unbroken voice. I get it a lot because I do "dinner duty" in my school. I basically stand at the top of the dinner queue with another sixth year and keep it organised. If I catch them jumping the queue I send them out. They give me death threats too.

I remember along time a ago when I was in HS, grade 9. I was told to sing O Canada, if I didn't they were going to make me into a duct taped mummy. So I stood up on that table, got everyones attention and sang "O Canada, our home and native land, true...." Well when I finished, everyone started to clap and LOL, they thought I was the coolest kid for doing it so well.

I have been out of HS since 2000, so grade 9 was 1996-97. OMG I feel so old!

hehe, on the subject of violence and Asians......

My school hand a rather large population of asians (I THINK that caucasians were not a majority, simply a plurality. And that asians were the largest 'minority')

My school hand a rather large population of asians (I THINK that caucasians were not a majority, simply a plurality. And that asians were the largest 'minority')

However suposedly what was up was that most of the Koreans were in gangs (this was actualy probably true)
The funy thing was that they wouldn't hastle ANYONE exept for other Asians A few of my chinese and Japanese friends would complain about them, where as the rest of the school just didn't know about it

Ah, gotta love racial segrigation by peer preasure (blech, my school was horibly clicky, I was one of the few who had alot of friends of other ethnicities)

Is this in the states? Most likely on the west coast? Only gang I heard of with Koreans is Korean Pride, and it's not really a "gang gang" if you know what I mean. They just chill and stuff and when someone gets picked on they have each others back. Except for here it's "anyone of korean descent" so I have some friends in that gang.

well my school was a scary place to be.
we had 3 major gangs.
The AV Gang
which was made up by Nerds and ppl who were members of the Audio / Visual Club. These were some scary guys. I hear of more than 1 time that they jumped someone and made them watch every Olson Twin movie .
The Church Gang
These guys were the hardcore Christ children of the light. They would beat you down with scripture and Holly water.
The scray guys who worshiped a cow and wore blue robes
The name says it all!
