Spark, next time you forget it, just click "quote", the color tag is listed in the quote. For now, it's chartreuse. Hard to remember, but the only one I could find that I liked and that didn't look like something someone had used somewhere.

"But sniping is an art" *starts to move at full speed towards base* "It is an incredable art. You can be merciful, hitting the target right at the head, or cockpit. But most of the times I don't realy care where I hit 'em"
"But not a fun way. With a flamethrower, you need to get up close, and then they know you did it. Sniping in their fuel depos, they won't know what hit it, and they still burn"
"Hell yeah Sparks, hell yeah" *turns to Bill* "But where is the fun on that? I mean, that's one of the reasons why I left the air force. There is no fun. You just press the buttons, and the things fly away, bombing the people. Now, sniping, you need skills."
"Well, skills can be divided into many categories. Some people think its art to snipe people off, some people think its art to full them with holes. *passes through the gates of the base* "True. That is opinion. But try sniping a target at long ranges. I mean, REALY long ranges. And snipe at the right position. "Damn. Remind me never to take you up on a bet again Xect. Dunno much about how much skill sniping takes, but I do know it's more fun pumping your targets full of lead up close and personal"
*He docks his walker in the hangar and powers it down before getting out*
"It's true what he's saying. Sniping someone's fuel depot 1,5 kilometers away takes skill, a lot of skill. Actually, since the tank productions began to cover their fuel depots with nano-technical, reinforced, armor plating, no one has managed to penetrate yet. At least not without wrecking the rest of the tank first anyway. One thing you have to learn about tank drivers is that their ride is tougher than your ride, and they know this. They can take you out in one shot, but you can't take them out in one shot. For that reason, you have to take advantage of what you CAN do. Saw that trick I did out there? That's one of the things YOU can do, and they'll have a hell of a time trying to hit you while you spin around them. Driving mechs is a mind game, how do you take advantage of your strengths and make sure they can't take advantage of theirs. That's what it's all about. And to win, you'll have to know your enemy. Know not only what you can do, but also what they can do."
"I'll agree with that, Xect. Tanks against tanks its all about who hits first. You're lucky to survive a main gun hit, let alone have the tank survive. Mechs are about how good you are at dodging. Even so, SPAA are a pain in the arse. They've got the speed and fire control to get hits and they fire fast. Fortunatly its small calibre autocannons and the armour can't stop 12.7mm machine gun fire."
"Might be all about who fires first, but firing first is not an easy challenge. Many of the people riding those things do know their limitations, and quite a few of them are able to overcome those limitations, making sure you never have the time to dodge if you come unprepared."
"Yea well, sniping is sometimes hard. But you try to run 1km at least to the depot, open fire with LMGs, it aint that easy. Best way is teamwork. Few people snipe off the defences while LMGs soften up those depots. Slugs arent that good in fuel depot attack. You dont wanna be close to it when it blows up, but they can be used against defenders."
"Thing is, your not really sniping, the mechs targetting computer is just aiming for you while you just position it." *Enters the base and parks his mech in the garage outside their barracks, exits the mech and climb down, he waits for the others so they can go together for de-briefing.*
"All in all I wouldn't go for the depots. Too risky, just like trusting your stealth module. If it goes well, all is good. If it goes wrong, you're in trouble. So, sniping is well, but it's best used as part of the battle, not as the centerpiece in a strategy."
*Walks towards the debriefing hall, claiming his money from Zero on the way*
*Walking along side Xect, Zero grudgingly hands him the money*
"Just remember, I plan on getting it back later! Also, I don't see why we're even discussing about which weapons are superior to which when it's clear to see that team work trumps any single weapon."
"With tanks firing first means jack, if you don't also hit. Most don't have autocannons. Missing usually means death, since you've just lit yourself up quite nicely on IR. As for fuel depots, I'd say hitting them with a cruise missle's the best way. They'd never see it coming." *walks over to Spark.* "Hey, Spark. Do ya know wether I could get a weapon swap? I'm not exactly liking the LAR."
*Comes in, and parks mech in the Bay* "Hey Engineer, could you look over my Motor? i think it was a bit slow out there today." *Goes into Cafe and orders some food*
"Zero, thats just what i was saying. There isnt much differences between weapons. Sniper hasnt much power but long range, LMGs have medium range and power and Slug has much power but not long range. So if you got sniper, you might not win LMGs/Slug even if you get first shot or two. So teamwork is a MUST. Dont forget that in the field. *Parks mech near barracks and jumps out*
