First up all you silly europeans thinking you are better then us with your football vs ours (btw, you guys don't have the original either, and ours is just as valid so pbbbt <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)
And I fail to see how european football is free......

As for good free COMPUTER games:

Betrayle at Krondor (it was released for free, go nab it)
Pristone Tale (it is good for a while, you will eventualy get board)
Mu (havn't actualy played it that much)
    Gunbound

    <a href='http://www.freeallegiance.org/' target='_blank'>Allegiance</a>:
It is a Space combat Sim/RTS hybrid.
Aparently VERY good (If you can get into the groove of things)
There atleast were alot of NS.org people playing it (Including Flayra)

    enjoy <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

(oh, and most of those games you can just google)

It's free cos you can use anything that's kickable as a ball and equipment like boots, gloves and clothing isn't required look at africa for example. US footie needs stuff that can be expensive.

Anyway our footie is better that's why the whole world enjoys it unlike yours <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> and before you try and fall back on the "US footie is tougher" we got rugby remember

<a href='http://www.frozen-bubble.org' target='_blank'>Frozen-Bubble</a>. For the windows version look under Downloads->Ports.

BTW, if anyone happens to be running linux with the ROX filer, I packaged an AppDir for it (it even uses the Choices system). You need the perl environment and SDL. (Perl-SDL module is included in the AppDir since the current version doesn't work).

Sam & Max and Day Of The Tentacle are <b>NOT</b> freeware.

Just today i saw both on sale. It was a new budget collection with S&M, DOTT, Grimm Fandango and something else.

These games are cheap and worth every penny, go and damn well buy them you cheapskates. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I'd like to suggest <a href='http://newgame.agava.ru/eng/g_news.html' target='_blank'>The General</a> ...by some Russian guys. Play it online with your friends, or smack down the computer. You create a world with up to 20 nations, than plant grain to make soldiers or scientists....it's fairly self explanatory from there (...attack your neighbors or whatever).

4.5e is the latest version. There are quite a few spelling/character errors though. The russian version doesn't work on my computer, which has cyrillic enabled (but it's not Russian WindowsXP ...so whatever).

[site seems to be going slow right now, but I'm fairly sure it's the right site...if not, just looke for ' "The General" game ' through google.

    <a href='http://jet.ro/dismount/' target='_blank'>Truck Dismount</a> and <a href='http://tAAt.fi/taat/porrasturvat/' target='_blank'>Stair Dismount</a> are real fun. Pushing people down stairs to cause as much damage as possible(points) with mostly-realistic physics=win.
