hmm talesin, are you upset about me due to the fact that i posted the x"ray" stuff? hmm ok i have to say it was not very intelligent. i wanted to write an excuse into the thread but it was closed when i looked at it again.

One team really.. can't say much of anything. So there's little chance for interaction, or humerous cuts. It'd turn, again, into 'where are the Kharaa going to jump from this week'.

Only if you lack any creativity. I can think of many humorous storylines and some cool serious ones to change the pace. And who said all the marines have to be on the same team?
More specifically, I was speaking of RedVSBlue's use of in-game directing and weekly episodal content.

i thought about this topic one more time. i think there are many short stories about marines/aliens in natural selection. why don´t you read these stories? or write your own and post it.
by the way i think reading is a lot better than watching TV. but thats only my opinion
ever read the stories included in the 1.0 manual? these are quite cool but unfortunately they are only about a half page long. check them out
Besides the alien movies and others personally I think a Natural Selection: The movie would be awesome.I've came up with a huge list of ideas for it involving maybe ILM- Industiral Light and Magic (the folks who worked on STAR WARS) for CGI animations and robotic models etc.
The marine team, commander stuff would be very easy example:
Marine 1: Commander I Need a phasegate,tf,cc,turrets and armory at hive location "PipeRoom East" over.
Commander: Roger,dropping now
*The phasegate,tf,cc,armory, turrets magically appear "with Industrial Light and Magic wizardry"
Marine 1:Commander I also need backup STAT!.
Commander:Alright I'm sending 3 HA's and a jetpacker to assist you and be on guard just sit tight their on their way.
This would be cool but the problems would finding someone who would do it or want to do it,finding the money, actors etc.
I've done alittle scripting in the past with some things in school etc. and some of my own little projects at home for personal amusement lol.
I was thinking about this again and I realized that it wouldn't be so bland, like PsuedoKnight said: Think creatively. You don't even have to do all serious episodes, instead, do stuff like episodes about Gorges stupidly placing Offense Chambers on top of res node sockets and in vents, preventing their use. Or stuff like Cowardly marines who hide in that stupid vent in MS when the game is about to end. You know, 5 min. film sort of stuff.
I'll admit that this is more Cheesy Sprite Comic Material... But I can see it being done, if you find the funny in-game situations that aren't just "OMG L00k teh heavy si s3xing up taht gorg3!!!1."
But doing a Real Life Movie would be much too hard for this sort of thing, it is much more viable to act it out in game, with everyone using their Microphones and all unneccesary text and images removed.
