    No, it may seem like it is actually swinging, but after a bit of experience in the game's rather clumsy melee combat you will find that it really isn't.

    well simulated though. IMO Looking Glass has ALWAYS been at the forefront of 3D game innovation... I always rant this in any FPS type game thread =P when Doom came out. looking glass had already released Ultima Underworld a year before, and you could look up and down in it, jump, fly up and down etc etc... you know, the sort of stuff FPS games didn't get 'til Quake like 5 years later...

I walked into the room with a security camera, now enemies are spawning... infinately. I can't do jack because there's an endless horde of them. I kill two, then they respawn and come to kill be more before I can figure out what to do. Are they supposed to be doing this? <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
    Well, as it was said, destroy the security camera.

    Hwever, you will also encounter areas where enemies spawn frequently. Those are usually the areas that 1. you have already explored, and no longer serve a purpose, or 2. areas that never will serve a purpose. There are many places in the game that you can pass without having to explore.

    If only those high poly textures were available when I played through the game! They would have improved the realistic factor to equal the scare factor.

    ---

    Who else feels this game was rushed at the end? I could feel the storyline getting weaker and weaker throughout the game. What started as a very solid plot ended up way too convoluted, and then finally silly and cliche. I remember looking at the final few moments thinking "This is the part where the twist occurs, everything explodes, and the plot gets <i>really</i> intriguing!" only to be dissappointed. I expected more for the time it took me to finish the game. Half Life was plagued with this at times as well (especially the jumping puzzles).

    I wonder how a game would work if it was coded from the end to the beginning (if that is possible). That way the most detail is placed at the final moments, when the hopes of every gamer are at their peak.

    Just look at how badly they ripped apart deus ex 2, its rare to see a game exceed the original.

    Oh ya, I curbed my addiction to this game long ago <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

    I'd be up for a few hours. It gets boring past deck 6 anyway. 3 people is the ideal.
