    not abominations... hybrids. but they were just trying to perfectly recreate ripley and the alien inside her, seperatly... so they could make more aliens, and more.

    i fail to see where you got the pdw and shotty from... but yes, the butt is kinda colty isnt it? looks good, a real achievement of my mate's PSP skills

    Just a question for |Owen|. Did you envisage the red canister being put into the circular part above it with there being some kind of nozzle at the top of the canister (maybe with some kind of screwing on and off motion). Just asking because I'd like to make this be able to be used as a flamethrower model (hence needing to know possible reload details) and it'd be easier to model it right from the start.

    Had a bit of time to do some more work on it. 568 polies now. Going to do the grip then round some of the edges on the stock as it's very blocky at the moment. Going to see how many polies I'll have to play with first.

    Woot, I've modelled the entire welder, some bits could be improved but I'm happy with this as a first version. Especially as it's my first entire model!

    I've applied as basic 3 colour skin to it just to make it look a bit better. I'm going to try and work on a skin for it but as this is my first model it's my first skin as well so I'll see how it goes and maybe pass it on to someone else.

    Anyway, here's a picture.

    694, I think there's a few wasted in there too. I want to add a bit more detail to the stock for certain so extra detail will take maybe 100 more polies or so. What's an average polycount for a weapon by the way?

    Yeah I left them out originally as I thought you could skin them pretty well, but as I have a load of polies to play with I'll have a go at whacking them in.
