little update.... just starting my turn. Ok, my section is complete and uploading as I speak. Detailed notes are posted on the ftp under my directory.
Thought i'd share something with the group at large though. I went stupid and made marine start a double res. Granted you have to spend a minute and a half welding it in a high traffic small room, and after that A huge door is open in the marine start proper... into an area that's much more difficult to defend than the MS by itself, but it is a double res.
Looks good. I don't think it will be too much of a problem because all that does is open up more routs into the MS, which is bad for the marines. When we add the vent system, we can put a couple of vents in there to make it un-desirable to open untell verry late in the game.
Reminder to all, this is what Reese put in, think about how your section will effect balance based on having this new part built in.
Sorry, the weekends been hectic, real life took a turn and i had to deal with that first, i'm sure you'll all understand. I'll have it up by tomorrow arvo at the latest (Monday arvo AuEDST)
Hey confused if you wouldn't mind picking some appropriate sounds for those weld doors that would be great....seem to have forgotten that. Just use your judgement.
Also I just wanted to let everyone know that when/if I get another turn I promise to use no runtime entities unless i'm doing a hive room...... or placing a resnode. Just counted and I used 15 runtime ents counting the res I placed....bit on the excessive side for one entryway. So I figure if I use nothing besides the essentials for any next room I make it'll balance out at around 7-8 per room for me, which leaves a lot of space for us to touch things up later.

edit: i have a few sugestions. the big one is that we should ahve a .bsp of teh most recnt build availible as it makes learning the styles easier.
