The current contest rules budget out 40 entities for the RR. Let me know if this is too much or if we have more to work with depending on how close the map you are working on is to the entity limit.
The 40 does not include the *required/removed* entities [e]Required by the FAQ.
We've also limited the wpoly too, but that shouldn't affect the map performance.
The contest thread is curious about texture limits. I told them 2MB with re-texturing may be needed. I guess it help if we knew what size your textures are at now. Or if you are shooting for 'official' status.
The used textures would count as 'freebie' textures in the contest thread. If you guys aren't worried about the texture limit, that would be good too...
whenever you want... forget the rules, lets just get a playable map out. Just make sure you say where you will be working so if anyone else is working on it that they are not working on the same place.
Hmm, If I may I'd like to make some changes to the first hive and the surrounding area. As of now there is only one entrance to the hive and one route to get there. I'd like to add another route to the hive and a vent or two if possible. Also, I'd be happier to design a second hive room and/or the area leading up to it, I just need to know what everyone is working on.

Well, I added a room to the back entrance to MS. I'll upload it in a minute, I'm compiling it now to see how it looks with the rest of the map in game.
It will go in the folder Caboose-4-17-04 on the ftp server.
The RR team knows they may have to re-texture their RR as need be. Since Its really an open RR contest right now, we like them not to have too many restrictions, but they do understand that it may change depending on the texture restrictions or what your textures are up to now... (2MB...3MB...). I hope they dont go hog wild and use every texture they can think of... lol

If you add on to it, make a new directory with your name and the date...
Ex: Caboose-4-16-04
...and put the map in there.

Maybe we should post some screenshots of the map for people who are working on the readyroom game so they can texture-coordinate if they'd like to.
