Donnie Darko - i still have augumenets about what this really means Bullit - best.car.chase.ever.ever anything Tarantino, except Kill Bill. worst piece of trash ive ever paid to see anything Kubrick, except eyes wide shut. what a bad legacy :/ Alien Aliens Alien 3 - (maybe) Terminator Terminator 2:Judgement Day The Matrix - one of the most stylish movies in such a long time. first 30 mins of the first time you see it are mind boggling. Mothman Prophecies - no movie has made less sence until the last 5 minutes Shawshank Redemption - wow, just wow

I only saw trainspotting about a month ago for the first time. I can't see why people class it as a classic film, but it's still pretty damn good. I just love the bit where the mad one is trying to wind the person up in the bar, succeeds, and he just screams "YESSSSS!" and kicks him in the balls. That had me rolling on the floor.

It's funny...but no...no Harrison Ford.
I think it has Rod Livingston (or something) and two other guys as the main charachers, and Jennifer Aniston (you have no idea how long it took me to think of her name...pffft). It's funny...go see it.
I don't see the big point of A Clockwork Orange (and of everyone in my family, I had to explain the theme to everyone, pffft - can't remember it now for some reason). It's an okay movie for theme but it moves kind of slow.
Same thing with 2001: A Space Odyssey (except I fell asleep before HAL goes insane, so I've got to finish watching it. With the special edition you get to watch monkeys jump around for 20 minutes at the beginning (not kidding either).
Newer old movies: Back to the Future (I like 1 and 2, roommate likes 3...I say 1 and 2 are more fun..but whatever) Rambo (but only the 1st one) Predator on a similar note; Alien series (except you'd probably want to pass on 3 and 4, but pretty much everyone here has seen the series anyway) Terminator (probably the whole series, 3 is exceptionally new though, and has some series plot holes, but it's good overall) Labyrinth (just so you can see David Bowie...aha) Splash (okay, don't expect to love it) Big (same with Splash)
...tons of other movies that have already been said...and some I can't think of at the moment.

I thought you guys meant OLD. If it's early 80s or later, it's not old (cuz I probably saw it in the theatre, and therefore, I'd be old....)
OLD Movies: Casablanca (Some of you may groan, but that's because you haven't seen it. It's is an excellent movie, and actually pretty funny) Dr. Strangelove (western classic in all qualities. soooo good. I love Peter Sellers) The Pink Panther Movies (Again, Peter Sellers)
Can't think of more right now... I'm sure I'll come up w/ more later.
