Actually I agree with BigBull. Cap marines out at 50/150 LMG ammo, thus stopping the pointless armory humping, and giving them 3 extra clips like pistols so Avenger can be happy.

a skulk only has to comp the TF and the whole terret farm goes down its not that hard.
and limiting marines to ammo won't help then it'll only hurt, sure it might stop all the nub marines from "humping" the armory but how much help are thoose marines anyways?
limiting the ammo even more will just screw your good marines that spend all the ammo because there out there killing aliens and will just have to pester the comander for ammo more often
and the pistol may be a secondary wepon but I feel its just as good as the LMG and I have many uses for it so I think it seserves at least a little more ammo

YOU Sir have never truely played as a gorge! No doubt you have gone gorge, but you have never truely been one. No True gorge would ever jump to the flip and say that a lone rine with enough ammo should be able to take down a huge res investment.
I get what your saying, that if you can duck behind something and slowly take it out, fine. I don't know what kinda gorge you play with but I have rarely seen a gorge put down a good WOL (4 Ocs with 2 DC back up) in a place that would allow this to happen.
Even if it could happen 1 marine should never be able to take them all down by him self before being killed!

and i think that the 5 rounds per hump on the armory is a bit low...
10 would be much better...
Even though half a clip is the usual, the pistol takes a really long time just to get ...what is it.. 4 clips total..? and at 10 shots per clip.. most people shoot pistol really really fast. that ammo is gone before you know it.

Oh, and also, the shotty is waaaay to weak, I mean it only dominates -melee- distance and should have a sniper rifle mode or auto aim....this IS futuristic.
Oh and better yet, lets give an aim bot anti-onos missle launcher that deals 500 damage to onos, 200 splash! It'd have 2 rockets in a clip for balance reasons and cost 60 res to balance this out.
What else did I forget? Oh yes, the pistol should also hold off waves of skulks because it has 4-5 clips, a skulk dies per clip, that IS balanced after all....since the skulks can.........you get my point don't you?

Since when is scripting suddenly a large part of the game? I've seen very little scripters on FreaksUnleashed, and if I did happen to notice one, I'd ban him...
Even if there were alot, giving that example, it's like balancing the game for hackers, or helping newbies have an upper hand in the game so it's not imbalanced between them and experienced players...Personally I think the pistol needs maybe one more clip, or something, I havent had many troubles, as long as I load up full when I plan to use it.
You will see people use pistols for long range if they are good, do people use LMGs on fleeing fades? Oh wait.....thats right........the pistol, they will switch to the pistol to shoot the retreating fade, wanna know why? Because it'll hit him if you have the aim, (compared to most modes NS players can't hit worth their lives in most pubs) and the added spray effect of LMGs make it somewhat....useless against a fleeing alien, so, why not switch to your.

You can exploit mousewheel binds as another has said and therefore, that fade can get another 80-100 damage (4-5 shots!) or spray uselessly and hit maybe 4 times that deal 40 damage?
The knife is -almost- overpowered (screen bounces around and can kill a skulk 1/3 of the time if used rightly or you die and learn then use the knife properly), the shotty is sadistic and mocking Khaara 'melee mastery', HMGs are balanced until we get large games (whats not unbalanced then?) LMGs are decent, pistols are for the experienced CS players or NS players for the fleeing khaara, or to snipe a skulk, or the lerk hiding in the vent. (Note, none of these examples are after the LMG is emptied)
I personnally like to snipe sometimes in maps with long corridors, and many times I find myself missing past about the 3rd shot at best. I have gotten the vanilla skulk killer burst reflex down, about 4-6 shot as fast as I can, but I have only gotten 3 pistol kills on onos in 3.0 =/.
I feel that the extreme range power is only the pistol, for those situations you wish the TSA had made a sniper rifle, you got your trusty pistol. Your trusty pistol, however, seems to lack a proper nano-bandoleer to go with it, thus the small reserve.
Also, I must have a crappy mouse wheel or something but I cannot for the life of me seem to get fast shooting with it, perhaps I am doing it wrong, I am going to test it after this.
Summary: Make pistols have more ammo as you upgrade weapons, i.e one more clip per upgrade.
whats up with all theese complaints about people getting worked with pistols, and shottys and HMGs, funny if you try and kill someone there going to shoot back at you and try and kill you so maybe thats your problem, I take down rines with stealth (kinda how your suppose to) I sneak up on them and chomp there face in before they have time to unload on me, I don't know why you guys have so many problems.

Since when is scripting suddenly a large part of the game? I've seen very little scripters on FreaksUnleashed, and if I did happen to notice one, I'd ban him...
Even if there were alot, giving that example, it's like balancing the game for hackers, or helping newbies have an upper hand in the game so it's not imbalanced between them and experienced players...Personally I think the pistol needs maybe one more clip, or something, I havent had many troubles, as long as I load up full when I plan to use it.

You can exploit mousewheel binds as another has said and therefore, that fade can get another 80-100 damage (4-5 shots!) or spray uselessly and hit maybe 4 times that deal 40 damage?
The knife is -almost- overpowered (screen bounces around and can kill a skulk 1/3 of the time if used rightly or you die and learn then use the knife properly), the shotty is sadistic and mocking Khaara 'melee mastery', HMGs are balanced until we get large games (whats not unbalanced then?) LMGs are decent, pistols are for the experienced CS players or NS players for the fleeing khaara, or to snipe a skulk, or the lerk hiding in the vent. (Note, none of these examples are after the LMG is emptied)
I feel that the extreme range power is only the pistol, for those situations you wish the TSA had made a sniper rifle, you got your trusty pistol. Your trusty pistol, however, seems to lack a proper nano-bandoleer to go with it, thus the small reserve.
Also, I must have a crappy mouse wheel or something but I cannot for the life of me seem to get fast shooting with it, perhaps I am doing it wrong, I am going to test it after this.
Summary: Make pistols have more ammo as you upgrade weapons, i.e one more clip per upgrade.
Sometimes you need to actually clear a room of camping marines, and getting gunned down in less than a second by a "script" doesn't make this an easy task.
