I know that the pistol is powerfull and it takes down aliens, but then again so is a skulks jaw and kills lots of marines, there no unbalance with pistols scipts or not I just think they deserve more ammo.
Youve gave many reasons why it doesnt not deserve more ammo (double negative on purpose), but you have yet to say why it deserves more ammo other than 'I want'.

I feel that the pistol is like another LMG execpt I aim more and shoot less with it, just because your LMG takes the first wepon slot and your pistol takes the Second I don't think we should we should cast the pistol off like it is, I find myself too often out of pistol ammo and I know that thats part of being a marine but the skulk doesn't run out of chomps, the fade doesn't run out of swipes sure they get tired but they bounce back plenty quick. I'm not saying anything outragous like the pistol should have 20 rounds in a clip and do twice as much damage? no I just think it makes sense if a marine could grab a few more rounds before heading out on a long journey into the heart of alien enemys
How about we leave the Marines alone? They're already too powerful as it is.

The pistol is a tool meant to be used as it is now; as a last-ditch weapon and as a tactically viable one. Long hallway? Use pistol. Fleeing Alien? Use Pistol. The whole point of aliens is their ability to wear away at things, its just a matter of how fast they do it. A marine with lots of LMG ammo and with your suggested increase of pistol ammo could last a LONG time, making the whole point of aliens (errosion) to really fall at the weighside.
well if the pistol is a last dith wepon as you say and is SO useless and SO worthless and only good in a few times, THEN WHY NOT GIVE IT MORE AMMO? what's the harm if anything it'll just make armory humpers hump longer the aliens should like this.

B) Pistol is a long range weapon, not a secondary weapon C) Using scripting as a reason not to implement is bad, but with the imposed delay scriptings effect was reduced. D) I have <i>never</i> seen a marine annihilate the opposing team with pistol. It takes a crack shot to make it work, and I do believe if someone can land all the shots then the skulks would be wise to not walk out like a target at a shooting gallery. E) Long range is important, and I would be happy if I carry ten pistol bullets instead of another lmg clip, which is complicated, but not too terribly hard to figure out. I would like to see something like this tried out and hear what the results are of it from experience rather than theory F) This whole good aim thing is an issue at range, but at close range the small spread, large clip, and full auto is far better than a pistol unless you can be sure you will hit all the shots.

You can of course argue that a comm can simply drop some ammo, but how many pub comms are going to give you constant ammo support for sniping in certain areas. Do not take the last sentence as hipocrisy, I feel that it is not the skill of the comm, it is the situation that it would benefit the team more for said comm's attention to be elsewhere.
200 dmg a clip, if it was increased from a possibly four clips to have including loaded gun, to say, 6, that would be 400 more damage with perfect accuracy, a bit longer shooting sprees before having to resort to the machine gun.
I argue my point because since NS lacks a true sniper rifle (It WOULD be useless in most cases) it has the pistol, and 10 shots for 1 res sounds reasonable, but I would be all for 20 shots from a pack, especially considering how big the ammo pack is, even if appearances are decieving.
Would this have a huge impact on balance? It sure would make the people who enjoy relying on their ability to shoot straight to take out a skulk as opposed to blasting it in the face with a shotgun, or hosing it with machine gun fire happier than having a tiny 30 shot reserve. I am fighting for my freaking life here, why would I want to skimp on ammo when it could save me?

but in order for the forums to function they don't just need the old timers that are wise and learned in the ways of the game, the forums also need the new people that will ask the questions of why and where and what and who and thoose questions that the old and wise gamers give answers to, I think its a important balance thats why I start posts is because I have a question , and I like it when veterans post things that make sense and help me out, thats what the forums are all about.
