I couldn't agree more, what a boring game.
I'm aware that the episodes are available for download nowadays, but I haven't had the heart to look at them again. I remember the show FONDLY darnit! And just seeing screenshots shows me how much my standards have improved, and I'm sure I'd sob my heart out to watch them again now...
At least make the bad guy scary, dammit!

That's the one part that annoys me about the new Zelda games... rewriting the game's history. Personally, I doubt that any Link after the first two games (three is debatable) are the same Link.

There have been four Links.
I don't know the story terribly well (I've only played Wind Waker through and well enough to really know the story), but if you watch the intro to Wind Waker, it actually directly references Ocarina of Time. WW occurs in the same world, but long after OoT. After OoT Link defeated Ganon, prophecy said that Evil would rise again and the Hero of Time would return to face him. But Ganon returned... and the Hero did not. (I think) The Gods flooded the world to seal Ganon again, and the world of Wind Waker is the result - the tips of the mountains of old Hyrule are all that remains in a vast sea.
I may be misremembering; it's been a little while since I saw the intro.
Yeah. I finally said it. No one else has been willing. Windwaker was TERRIBLE. Not because of the graphics(which I learned to love after enough screenshots), but because of the asinine puzzles, and the way they borked the ol' battle system from OoT(which was a DAMNED good Zelda game).
