Need Skinner For Starcraft Modification

<div class="IPBDescription">self-explanatory</div> So I was messing around with skins right? And I happened to find the Starcraft Alien conversion package. After playing for a bit, I got an itching to play Starcraft and so I did for about 7 hours straight (without realizing it). So I said to myself: you know self, Natural Selection should be able to look more like Starcraft.. cause that would be sweet. So I thought about it a while and decided to start with marine structures, which is where I ran into my problem as I always do:

I am a modeller, but I am not a skinner (as you can tell). Over the next few days I am going to be re-doing the entire Frontiersman and Kharaa structures, and I need a gifted skinner to skin my models in their interpretation of the original 20 by 20 pixel structures.
For those of you who are curious, here is a list of what I plan for models to be (Frontiersman only for now):
Turret Factory: Factory
Turret: Modified Missile Turret (i.e. no longer missile)
Siege Turret: Siege Tank
Arms Lab: Engineering Bay
Armory: Armory
Observatory: Comsat Station
Ifantry Portal: Barracks
Prototype Lab: Academy
Resource Tower: Refinery
Phasegate: Starport
I'm also looking for a Sprite Artist to help these models mesh with the rest of the game (i.e. commander build sprites, map sprites, etc.).
Please make a note here if you think its a good idea to make these models or if you are interested in wanting to skin or make sprites. Also, if you are interested in helping please e-mail me at botchiball@hotmail.com.

Not everyone will like or agree with a given incarnation of a concept - it's especially the case when you're working from an established concept (e.g. Starcraft pieces).

Umbraed Monkey, thats the science facility. I thought about using it, but in Starcraft, the academy provides firebats (i.e. provides another troop type like the proto) and the science facility provides cool energy stuff like cloaking and what not. And since NS is supposedly finally going to get new upgrades for marines, I thought: might as well keep a specialty building open for that.

back to the point of the thread, is anyone out there wanting to do skins?
P.S. turret factory to be done later tonight, maybe regular turrets too.

Yea, thats it. I thought it would be more appropriate, seeing that proto/sci facility both represents the pinnacle of technology for terran/marines. If you chose academy because HA somewhat equals firebats, than what about JPs, the 'aircraft' of the TSA?
Also, you can make science facility for now, and swap it out to the other building if we ever get a new one.

lol, You really want the science facility to be it don't you? The problem with changing it later is that people won't remember that it changed or wont change it out on theirs or what not. The actual reason I chose the Academy is because it is a mostly vertical object (i.e. relatively tall and thin), while the Science Facility is a mostly horizontal object (i.e. relatively short and fat). If I were to use the Science Facility model, it would have a donut shape around it where skulks could hide and not be seen.
And about the upgrades: its just something I've heard while playing, but Flayra posted on the main site that some new system is in the works, so.. who knows.

btw, you are going to have hell making em all tall...a lot of the sc buildings are quite short and fat. You might wanna have another building altogether to represent the cc. dude, ns is based on starcraft i believe, you cant get any closer to making a mod for halflife about starcraft because of copyright. but there was no rule about making custom models for it. which is what we are doing.
btw is it possible to put more then 2 skins at 1 model? like there is always a white marine and a dark marine, can you make more than 2 or is it limited?

thats coded zaggy, just about all the buildings have 1 skin, the marine has 2 skins, all the aliens have 1 skin, the marine v weapon models should have 2 skins (black and white) and all the alien v weps have 1 skin.
lol, Zaggy, I know the feeling. But I'd kinda like a game better than Starcraft - nothing against Starcraft, its just pretty old at this point and I'm gettin restless for Starcraft 2.
CoolCookieCooks: I don't know if its based on Starcraft persay, I think its more of an accumulation of all sci-fi themed movies/games/everything to date. But hell if we can't make it like Starcraft, lol.
Umbraed Monkey: Yeah, I'm still thinking about what i'm going to do. Other thoughts I've had is to make a set of screens hanging from wires (like the terran background before you start a game) or a female model with those metal things going into her head (like that one face you see in-game). Niether quite works, so I'm still thinkin.

You guys may have noticed that I didn't do the animations or the get the turrets done last night.. thats cause i started playing starcraft around 8 pm and didn't stop until 4 am.. damn that addictive game. I'll be workin hard today though, so STAY POSTED lol.

First off, let me defend my lazyness.. I actually did work on this turret yesterday as well (a good 4 hours or more) but when I got done I realized how horrible it was and just went to sleep. When I woke up today, my computer apparently agreed with me cause the file wouldn't open. I was also thinking of the structure incorrectly (though that word doesn't really fit here.. how about: my first interpretation wasn't feasible) and would have had to start over.
Anyway, the reason there is the wish turret is that in NS there is only firing location, 1 turret, so I couldn't give it 2 turrets without changing the code (least I don't know how). So thats why it looks funky.. basically I chopped the top section in half and used it as a clasp to hold the gun piece. Once I got this one done, the compile was messing up because the .qc from the original b_sentry doesn't work (its missing the letters ZR for controller 0 zxis of rotation if you're curious), but now that I figured that out this model is mostly done. I say mostly cause I NEED A SKINNER! Please oh please, someone out there has to be better at skinning then me. Once I get done with the animations I'll have to start doing the skins.. and I don't really want to see how horribly I'll ruin these models.
