What? You mean convert the DoD MG42 for the DoD STG44?
and are you gonna make the guy reach into a pouch for the ammo?
I think the arm should be a bit more parallel to the gun and align the belft feeding for-arm armor to where it actually goes into the gun.
Upper arm is a bit boxy, try maaking it a bit rounder.

The mg-42's had massive recoil springs...for the time. 8mm is big, but not THAT big. it gave me a tiny scar on my eye after i was shooting an 8mm sniper under my arm. i was 7, so with my weak grip it still BARELY managed to scar me.
THANK YOU OBST. ive been thinking of making an mg42 for NS for awhile now, but i just thought it would be another WIP laying around my HDD waiting for a mesh, skin, and anim.
