<div class="IPBDescription">Hrmm</div> Right, so i went to a party last night, got drunk and ended up dancing with some girl and getting her number.

Im 15, 16 in august, she is 13, 14 in july.

Im year 11, she is year 9.


So... Erm.

Is she abit young for me? :o

    If you love each other, no age is too young. Er, unless you intend to have sex and one of you is under the age of consent in your state/country.     2 years is fine as a gap altho i warn you, expect criticism.

    14 - 16 vs 16-18 is very different ground.

    Sure, go ahead if you wanna, although I would warn you don't expect any emotional maturity from a 14-year-old. I have been in that situation before, and the gap between 14 and 16 is much smaller physically than it is emotionally or intellectually, and 16 isn't exactly grown-up either. So yeah, you can try it and it might work, but I would advise you to keep the whole thing in perspective, don't try to ignore the age factor once things get going.

    I agree with AllUrHive, he has the right of it.. usually the maturity difference is the reason for not dating that much younger, especially during the teenage years. Although there are exceptions, just like with any rule. As for when you get older, usually you can find a safe range within 5 to 10 years, give or take.

    As many others have already said, I wouldn't think there's anything wrong with dating a girl 2 years younger than you, and as you both get old the 2 year game narrows extremely fast.

    Hell the gap between your ages isn't even enough to give you a bad time about. My friend (25) is dating a girl who is 19 so I get to give him crap all the time. Fun trivia like "hey remember our senior year of high school? Yeah, she was in 7th grade." heh.

    And take it easy on the alcohol man. Regardless of where you live and the legal drinking age, getting wasted at 15 can screw you up...

    I guess from your phrasing that you're in the UK so if as a Year 11 you start dating a Year 9 expect to get a crapload of stick from mates/people you know etc etc. If you're school is anything like mine of course. When you're young even two years is a hella difference.

    And guys it's a British tradition to get smashed when you're 14/15/16 so that buy the time you're old enough to buy alchohol you realise how pointless it is and you become an upstanding citizen ;o

    Or you can become alchoholics earlier. You have to be careful with the stuff by the way. Anytime I've been drunk(ish) I'm always fully aware of what's happening. I'm 17 and I look mid-20's.     Well now that you mention that, from my experience I can tell you girls that age are really starting to become VERY curious sexually, and guys at your age are simply horny as all hell, and very often the whole "lack of maturity" thing leads to neither party having any self-control. So do try to watch yourself.
