Models never turn out exactly like the concept, as long as its close enough that The skin can make up for it, It doesnt matter.

Some intense moods here nice concept brig, you do some good clean work from looking at the link you posted up. Ill assume thats mostly your stuff in terms of mostly being, the weapon models. Ever thought about making some player model concepts? Considering your little passion for old guns (assuming with the browing, revolvers, shotguns etc) Ill just assume you just like the old days, with the fache hat gangsters, business men, crooked cops... Be intresting to see someone model/sketch/skin a good old style gangster. Just some food for thought

hmmmz

i don't see how this pistol could ever work

the bullet goes in from the clip in the front area of the gun
so it must 'enter' the loop there
then the hammer smacks etc, bullet goes out

but then what? how does the empty shell come out?

unless it has some sort of mechanism that moves the bullet to the back once it enters the gun ... but that's impossible as well

someone eplxain how this type of pistol could ever fire pls

If this gets made, and the shape/position of the grip/magazin should meet this layout, I can supply my LA/HA animations with NS hands I made for the Mauser, a reload animation fitting the magazin position, an animated hammer and some sounds from somewhere that fit the reload animation.

:EDIT: Bah, for those "OMG COPYRIGHTZ!!!11" guys.... Los creditos
- MonkeyKungFu, Dragoon, NS Team, Obst & Gemuese
- Photoskin and some very small Textures by Ironclad, Sixshooter, Lonewolf

Yeah, i've not even started on the trigger guard or anything, it's just "there", if you see what i mean. Chances are i'll redo it anyway, so not much to worry about.

Oh well, i've finished it. Well, the base model, there's still a number of optimisations to do, however.

I've decided to upload it using the milkshape OCX viewer. Just head over to this page and take a look. It will only work under IE with DX9, however. Give it a few seconds to load, i'm pretty sure it works, ("It works for me™") if it doesn't, i'll up more screenies. By the way, don't turn on smooth shading, it will be a total mess. I need to sort that still.

Heh, i fixed it now, it should be working. Turns out it needed a proper url not just a relative one.

*EDIT: Well, since it's 5am, i totally forgot a trigger, heh. PC right now is 802. Whoops. I'll do the trigger whenever i wake up.

I really like the second concept but i think it should have a longer barrel for 2 reasons "Looks better ( in my mind ) HL engine will make it look geeky cos of the FOV thingy"
• BrigadierWolfBrigadierWolf Join Date: 2003-05-30 Member: 16876Members, Contributor
I dont think it needs to be any longer than it already is....

Anyway, Ejection ports are almost never directly above the magazine, they are usually located behind the firing chamber. this is because the bullet will move backward with the slide after firing, If you want to see an ejection port thats located behind the magazine, look at any HK rifle. they are all designed this way.

Realism, my good man....Realism...

who cares if it's programmed never to jam...realism in design is still important...
