What Are You Looking Forward To In H-l:source?

What thing(s) are you guys looking forward to seeing from the original H-L that's gonna be ported over to the source engine?

Personally, I'd like to see the new Xen in source. With the messed up grav and whatnot, you could have some fun with the physics there. Also, Nihilnth (or however you spell it) will probably look totally insane, too.

    necessarily

It would be neat to have a mod entirely based on physics. Each player is armed with a manipulator, and there's a bunch of boxes you can throw at your enemies! Oh, that would be too cool.

What I don't understand about this is it:

A.) Just original HL1 ported to the source engine with no graphical upgrades. That means no use of gravgun style physics...

    OR

B.) Fully updated HL1 so it looks nice and pretty like HL2, and all the maps redone so you can make full use of exploding crap and stuff.

Mostly B. From what I understand, map architecture is the same, sounds will probably be the same too, but textures & models are updated. Also the code behind it is updated, there IS physics stuffs, etc.

I'm more looking forward to the code behind the whole thing myself. I hope Valve delivers on their promise of Source being easier to code for than HL.

Not sure if it's been said, but maybe some puzzles that rely on the engine.

Like the Incredible Machine! With headcrabs!

    (according to my sources)

    they tested HL2 on :

    1.2 ghz intel processer
    256 meg DDR RAM
(really really good video card im afraid, like 256 meg bus or something :E )

so. um. get a new video card = Playing HL2

I'm really looking forwards to how the AI will work in HL-source, and to what extent certain events are scripted.

For example, the guy who drops the det-pack in the pipe and tries to toast you, that's obviously a scripted event in HL1. In HL-Source, would a marine who sees you in a pipe take out a det-pack and throw it at you based entirely on his own inititive and the situation?

Also, when someone mentioned how certain things in HL1 might require the engine, it got me thinking about NS. Now I don't know what unholy things Flayra has done to the HL engine to make it do what it does in NS, but I'm wondering how much of it could be easily ported across to Source and how much would have to be entirely rewritten. Valve has been saying that porting HL1 mods to HL2 should be fairly easy, but CS and DoD don't do half the stuff that NS does.

Because let's face it. NS on source would look and feel orgasmic.

The funny thing is that assuming HL2 has DM (and it will. Like making DM is so hard and as if any game would actually be without it) you wouldn't even have to make a mod. DM map where everyone spawns with the gravity gun and some entities. done.
