A few friends and I have been working on a fun little Half-Life mod. Essentially it's a zombies vs. human survivors mod, with the zombies trying to wipe out the humans, and vice versa. The catch that makes it fun and interesting (Well, at least I think so, and I'm biased... ) is that all players but one join the human team, and only one person starts off as a zombie. The zombies respawn when killed, but when a human is killed, they respawn as a zombie, and join in hunting down their former friends.
Also, ammo is a scarce resource, so you can't simply run around guns blazing, for you'll run out of ammo in no time, and be easy prey. The more weapons and ammo you carry, the slower you move, so sharing ammo after an ammo run is a good idea.
Anyway, it has a sort of survival horror feel to it, with plenty of desperate moments with the zombies closing in on all sides, but it doesn't take itself too seriously, as it's more geared for fun with any number of people playing, than hard core play.
Also, it doesn't really lend itself to clan play, since everyone but one person starts off on the same team. I designed it with a LAN party in mind, as something you could play and have fun with even with odd numbers of people, or small numbers. Currently, we're playtesting with about 5 people, and it's a blast.
Anyway, sorry to go on so long, but we could use some playtesters to help us get a feel for balancing on bigger games. We could also use anyone experienced with modeling, skinning, or texturing.
The reason I'm asking here is that NS is my all-time favorite mod, and seems to have a much higher ratio of decent and fun-loving people that play it, so I thought it would be a good place to check.
Just email me if you're interested at:

Thanks,
Twilight
PS We've only got it running on non-Steam HL at the moment, but are in the process of making it work on Steam also, so a WON server install of HL would be good.

Edit: Have you tried it on Steam? The only issue I've seen with mods on Steam is the game resetting your config for that mod only.
Oh, and what are the Zombie's attacks? Are their multiple types of Zombies?
Had a couple of other modes where if you 'caught' three humans after being zombied, you would shift back to the human side and have a chance to win, even if you started out as the zombie. Also made for a longer game if the one starting zombie was a good player.
There were 4 of us and we still had a great time. Very good concept
with the zombies and all
