Indeed.
i admit i'm not a little angel, but what a frickin stupid mofo.
i bet he will end up homeless
though the parent dosn't seem that much brighter (cmon I would atleast run my auction stuff through a spell checker).
the fact that it is the $6 for the beer, not the fact that they were drinking... (at 13)
refering to him as a 13 year old woh disrespects her and her stuff....
I dono, yah its an effective punishment...
but it is also silly.
(and yah, its the mother, not the father, as far as I can tell)
Although I've got to agree with Thansal. Judging by the writeup, the mother (?) does not appear far above the mental level of 13.
Yeah it is the mother, she mentions a "husband" so the conversation between the dad and son is from her point of view as she watched.

I personally see it as "Well, even though drniking is bad, kids are going to do it. But when you drink someone's wine, I've known since I'm 8- make sure how much the wine cost first.
yah, the entire thing is not punishing, its just vengance.
geting revenge on your kid is friken stupid.
Now, if it had been written up decently (aka, better then my posts <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->) and wasn't so obviously "<b>I AM DOING THIS B/C THE LITTLE TWIT **** ME OFF</b>", but more:
"Sorry kenny, but this is your punishment. You cost me this amount of $$ and the only way you can pay it back is via auctioning off the PS2".
Although I've got to admit with Thansal. Judging by the writeup, the mother (?) does not appear far above the mental level of 13. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Sorry boy, your still a teenager till 21.
MNYEH!

Great logic there...
Still I think it might be made up jsut to try and sell it faster/at a higher price.

you're a teenager until you're 20
you're technically a child until you're 18
In most of Europe at least
America is kind of backwards, see <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
No just Wheeee being silly, we cant blame it on his low IQ, lets blame engrish!
Well ya see, they are some backward people in Europe when English got made. Twenty was never Twenty, it was actually Twenteen. Its just that you're such hicks, you shortened it accidently.
Just like English should be Engrish.

13 yr old stealing his parent's Dom Perignon....
Thats just friken stupid.
and there is nothing about hormones that will make you want to drink and act like an idiot.
they just make your horney (and possibly cause screwy mood swings, but not that common/severe)
this kid is a twit.
and judging by the write up, I would place most of the blame on the parent's in this case.
then again, that is all assuming it is true.
Oh Hell no, I was no where near as hyper or unstable at that age. I mean beer? At 13? I promised myself I <i>wouldn't</i> drink around that age.
This kid had no respect for his parents, and even if they didn't particularly earn it, the only excuse he has not to have the obligatory "respect" for his parents would have been if they were deadbeats, which calling them so would seem a touch extreme.
I really don't get this, why do people assume you have every right to be a jerk when you are little??
**EDIT** Well at least Thansal sees things the way I do.
i would post more, but the lenny henry show is about to start, and it kicks muchos anos(yes that is what i meant to say)
i'm 14 and i've never consumed anything alcoholic
ever
and i'm proud of it

Kids do stupid things and they get punished for it, its a fact of life, kids are stupid. There are exeptions, but it's generally true, and I should know, I was an extreamly stupid kid, and now I get to help my parents raise my 3 stupid kid brothers. There is nothing abnormal about kids being stupid, there are just apropiate and inapropriate ways for a parent to deal with it. Selling the kids PS2 to compensate yourself for the cost of damage he did to your house is definatly an apropriate way, and quite amusing.
Stuff like this builds character, and if you grow up enough to understand it, it helps you respect your parents more.
