Couple things
1: I wouldn't get on the mums case of spelling, she may have been distracted or English might not be her first language.

2: I woulda killed that kid just for the beer, the wine would have made me urinate on his corpse.

3: Saying horemones are the cause is a crock of ****. When I was 13 I was quiet, laid back and depressed. Now that im 16 I'm Hyper, bent on world domination, and other such things.

    4: Po-ta-toes

hormones aren't the cause, they're a factor. I'm not saying thay you just pass it off as normal behievior an dissmiss the case, he still needs to be punished (his mind isn't broken, if he gets away with stuff he will still feel invincible). I'm just encouraging all you future parents, this is what you have to look forward to, weather you like it or not

But owned, anyway. I can't remember what i was like when i was 13. And considering i'm only 16, that's pretty worrying.

Wow, what a turd. The little brat deserved it. I may do nothing but play games all day, but at least I don't go around breaking random stuff.

    Hey! That's my PS2!

    Just kidding.

I don't (I'm a "straight edge," as they say), but a lot of the people I know in the age group are drinking and smoking substances that are illegal in the U.S. Is it a bad decision? Yes. Are they effected by it? Well... yes, they're all flunking out of school and half of them can barely read and have very short attention spans. So, yes, this kid is even more retarded. They would never drink valuable wine, they'd sell it. To them, the alchohol is all that matters.

    Kids need to learn.

What he did was inexcusable, and he needs to be punished.

The nerve of that child is amazing... oh my god. I cannot believe some of the things he did.. Personally, i wouldn't sell his PS2 on ebay, as that would be seen as an act of spite, and too late and unassociated with the event, so it wouldn't be punishment. Every time i found out he did something wrong, just a swift PLANK OF WOOD TO THE ARSE. Keep doing it until he learns not to do stupid ****.

So what, "teenagers will be teenagers". Yeah, fine. However, in my books, he doesn't classify as a teenager, just a stupid bloody kid who was spoilt rotten in his early childhood and now thinks he's king of the world.

Swift kick to the head of both the kid and the parents.

Also, six foot three? What's so special about that? Sure, he's tall, but a 13 year old wouldn't have filled out, so he'd just be a skinny little runt. And he's thirteen, so smack him up anyway.

Things like this disgust me - bad parenting leads to bad children, bad children lead to bad people, bad people lead to a bad world.

I'm not saying punish the parents and leave the kid, because the kid is still an outcome, and his behaviour and mental attitudes need to be fixed as well.

    Gah.

That stuff about 13 year olds being unable to control their actions is a bunch of B.S.

When I was 13 all I did was...
-Make my english teacher think I was too crazy to be in her class.
-A few random acts of vandalism.
-Scratch a big X into my arm. (hey look, the scar is still kinda/sorta there)
-Try to steal the master key to every locker in the school.
-Get in a fight with a kid half my size.
-Tell a few "Barney" fan's that he was dead almost every day.

Hmmmm, on second thought, maybe there's some truth to that. I'm normally a very reserved and self-controlling person.

I personally agree more with the idea of a quick bit of corporal punishment every time he does something stupid, or you get the sense that he's thinking about doing something stupid.

I'm 12, another month and I will be 13. I haven't acted like this in my entire life. Although I disagree with the parents' decision the sell the PS2. Personally, I would've smashed it against the kid's head.

[edit]I think some parents are too soft. I'm not saying that you should smack them with a canoe every time they leave the top off of the ketchup bottle, but they need some form of punishment other than just words. Once I was at a circus (about a month ago), and these 2 kids were sticking their tongue out at me, and one stole her mom's Powerade and dribbled it down her chin. The other kid was slamming his head against the seat. And then the one with Powerade threw it at me. Thankfully it was empty, but damnit, the mother was sitting right in front of us. The whole freaking time, she was saying, "Robert, don't do that, it's not nice, stop it, Liz, stop that, I'm serious, I'm going to take you home, just stop, enjoy the circus!"
If it were me, I would've probably accidentally killed them. Then again, I wouldn't even have given them the priveledge of even going to the circus until they were at least 10 or something. [/edit]

AMEN TO THAT. Kids don't always understand reason, their brains aren't developed enough (and spoilt brats simply need a good arsekicking to help bring their noses parallel to the ground where they should be). They do however understand pain though, be it physical or otherwise (eg: taking their prized items because they break yours). I still would sell his Playstation 2 and then make him pay the diffrerence of what he owed for the damage (and if he didn't have money, he'll learn how to use a lawnmower...). I'd also write up an invoice for him if he bitched about it, so it was more business like, not spiteful like "omg you drank my rotten grape juice now ima sell your games console"

QUOTE (eediot @ Jun 5 2004, 10:39 AM)

Even if the kid is 6'3" and well built (I know a couple of people like that acutally), that doesn't mean he's unbeatable. The bigger they are the harder they fall so a good arse-kicking would probably hurt his pride some and learn him some respect.

But anyway, I'm 14 for about a full month now and too have never acted like a baby at age 12/13. Unlike some others at high school, wich are still running through school, occupy computers in the break to play their stupid litte outwar-like games. (and whine through the whole room to ask if that other guy has killed "him" yet).

I always found I was more mature than others, and I respect other people of my age or even younger that have the same maturity. People always go like "I thought you were 16 or something".
