Very nice work there. A couple of things: As a normal marine, when holding the warspike and it going through the idle bobbing up and down, as it comes back up, it makes a little jump. Nothing major, just thought I'd point it out. Also, get rid of that smoke when it fires in HA mode, it doesn't look good and it doesn't coincide with fireing it in normal marine mode. Also, the gun seems to be pointing too low in HA mode, but it's fine in normal marine mode. That's pretty much it. Oh, and is the different reload for the HA supposed to show that the HA is like a power suit, and lets him reload that sucker by just holding it in one hand?

After I reskined it, I tried it out ingame and noticed on the handle there's some black and I don't think it's supposed to be there. Kinda bothered me when I noticed it:

A slight bump...

Oh, will other warspike models be done, y'know for when other people are holding it and for when it's on the ground?

Check the first page. The download there has the P and W models already. The one brig posted was just the reanimated V model.

Nono... it's like a cryptic puzzle. They have to work out that there actually IS a first page

Acctually, with my noob skills and some Headache, Ill try to fix the model with Brigadier wolfs anims, once in the reload animation, when he removes the clip, there is no hole, and when he puts the clip back, it goes trough the gun.

I hope its some only some Vertex deleting and such but Ill try it

So there is. I guess I forgot to download it. I could have sworn I did. Oh well, doesn't matter, I got them anyway. And brig only reanimated the light armor marine, not the heavy armor one . I still think it would be neat to get some Warspike sprites...

Is it just me... or is this model too clean to be a good model? Just seems that, for the rines anyway, that it's too bright and cheerful

Other than that.. it's secks on a stick!

No decently trained Marine would ever allow a speck of dirt on his Rifle. In fact he'd probably get chewed out for it, maybe even demoted if it got bad enough.
• KaineKaine Join Date: 2002-08-07 Member: 1096Members, Constellation
I don't know about regular US G.I.s, but afaik, no decently trained SOLDIER(Let alone a marine) would allow his weapon to slip into a state of disrepair.

About the most you'll find on any properly maintained weapon is a few scuff marks and rubbed edges from general wear. "Love marks"

If I had a gun like that, It would be in a leather case all the time, with routine hugs.

I know what you mean.

So is brig going to end up redoing the animations for HA as well or what?

military facts (acording to my experience in the canadian army)

- weaponry and equipment to be kept clean and cleaned after every assigned dutied
--- if a weapon gets dirty / damnaged / worn in combat then the wear and tear is overlooked till 24hours after mission

- burn marks are unlikely occurance unless near the muzzle which are more flash burns
--- this warspike would most likely not have these burn marks

- scratches and minor dents are ignored unless they affect the performance of the gun or its user

- a soldier does get chewed up for keeping his/her weapons and equipement in poor shape but during time of war these are usually overlooked
--- unless your country is at war but your not stationed near the conflict (ie. war in europe, your in canada) then your "chewed up" by the heads up

A soldier who hadn't learned discipline and proper care for his weapon probably wouldn't live long enough to get chewed out... the really sad thing would be number of his mates his idiocy would also probably kill...

i keep everything i own clean, especially my weapons. after every practice i grease down the blades with duckams, then wipe them down with T-cut, it helps keep the shine on my babies.

Waiting... And is anyone up for doing sprites? Don't you think it would be awesome to hit 1, to see the Warspike, with the words Warspike written underneath it, instead of HMG? That'd be cool.

O_O

Waiting...for the HMG version. That annoying poof of smoke after firing is...was driving me insane.
