well ive stopped working on it for the time being as i dont have the voices from dark yet. i also dont think the level is gonna be playable without some intervention from the devs so i might hav to set up a demo vid or somethin to get them interested... so progress is slow at the moment

The trigger_changelevel problem is the main problem at the moment, it's seriously hurting the framerate and forcing the detail to be lowered. If we could trigger_changelevel, it would drastically save on entity count... they'd be split between the two halves of the map. As it is right now consessions are having to be made to save on entity count.

Dunno .. my clan still is using Beta4a because of plugin conflictions.

If you do end up using some teleport thingy where the screen fades out and in, maybe add some scary sounds (the onos) and a few 'stopovers' a la the hl teleport sequence or OpFor. You could add the extra rooms beside the first part of the map and shove that whole section up out of sight. It would prolly add a lot to the map size, but this is a sp map. The only time size matters is in dling the map/ns (if its included), and a few megs here and there wont affect anyone with hispeed (dialers just shouldnt be playing. period).
I cant wait to try this map. My clan has been thinking of setting up a training server (or at least a training night) and this would be perfect.
