    In all seriousness though, I am surprised but at the same time not surprised. Hmmm. Still, I wouldnt take the test too seriously as you may unconciously change your actual views to fit what the test says, it's happened in psychology experiments before.

    Oh, interesting note whilst on psychology. If you bring two groups with opposing views and allow them to have a discussion for say, an hour, their views tend to be more extreme then before said discussion. Wonderful isnt it?

    Arawn, perhaps you forgot the fact that people can change. What a shock, eh? That maybe the drugs someone does in high school/college doesn't actually define them the rest of their lives? I don't care if Kerry smoked pot when he was a hippie. I don't care if GWB snorted a little powder when he was in college.

    It looks as though you really are disillusioned. The quiz you just took simply showed you what candidates you align most closely with as far as ideals go. So, Kerry matches you best for his supposed ideals.

    It's possible that he is partly inline with some of Kerry's policies, but in reality finds the man's non-voting actions to be despicable, as do I.

    I'd love an explanation of how an <i>economic</i> system, particularly one with the express concern of a minimum standard of human living, can be described as that.

    There's alot of questions I left unanswered for the simple reason that I think they are logically irrelevant to Presidential power or not really a federal responsibility.

    Certain things like abortion are in the realm of the Supreme Court, and only in the case of a justice leaving the court is there any sphere of influence for the President, in which case the senate must approve. Keep in mind, certain justices that favor a certain party will intentionally leave under a certain presidency to make sure that someone of their political affiliation will make their way into the court. Certainly not an issue that should ever be used as a Litmus test.

    Education should be left to State government. Et cetera et cetera.

    I think that's an awesome idea, personally. most people vote for who they 'like' -- you'd think we were voting for Miss America or something, the person with the most charisma wins. The biggest complaint against Gore was that he was 'boring' -- I guess that should have been seen as evidence that Americans wanted some excitement, like some terrorism and a war or two; who cares about actual policy and leadership ability...
