And then there's this guy:

He's made some decent progress though, so I guess that's good...
That or they've also surgically attached a toilet to the couch.

That is absolutely amazing. I hope he gets in good shape! He deserves it after enduring that.
A note to anyone with weight problems: It's not hard to lose weight at all! You don't need a special diet where you don't eat a certain type of food, or you spend hours counting calories.
The secret to weight loss is eating /healthy/ foods. Avoid processed foods, like anything in a can or a tin. Whenever possible, always buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Don't eat before going to sleep, and learn how to combine the right foods. (If you need some help with this, contact me. I'll help you out.)
And drink <b>a lot of water</b>! At <i>least</i> a gallon (four litres) a day, preferrably more. Your body needs water to function, and the more of it, the better. By having a lot of water, your body will be able to function better, remove toxins and cool your body. This means no/minor sweating in the heat, because you don't need to sweat to cool your body and remove toxins. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Two ways to find out if you're properly hydrated: If your lips appear cracked and dry, you're dehydrated. Drink more water. If your urine is any colour but clear, you're dehydrated. More water. (Urine is NOT supposed to be yellow, if you're properly hydrated!)
A few more tips, too... Cut back on soft drinks. The sugar and artificial products in it are bad for your body. Avoid sugar water like Coke, root beer or Mountain Dew, etc... Try to limit yourself to water and juice, whenever possible. Tea is good for you every once in a while, but make sure that you drink as much water as you can before you drink any tea. (Tea hinders water absorbtion. This is bad.)
Try to limit your caffeine intake. The caffeine in chocolate, tea and coffee is okay, but keep it at a low level. (One or two cups a day for tea and coffee.) You'll find yourself getting much more energy from a glass of orange juice than from a can of soda.
I'd like to reemphasize the food bit: <b>Whenever possible</b>, but FRESH fruit and vegetables! (If fresh fruit and veggies aren't available to you, go for frozen. Fresh > Frozen > Canned. Canned veggies have next to NO nutrition in them.) Avoid bleaches and artificial colourings. (No bleached flour, no bleached bread. If you want to go the extra mile, make your OWN bread! I've got a recipe for that, if you want it.)
If you REALLY want to feel good and be healthy, you can go on a raw diet. As in... You eat completely raw food. This is incredibly difficult in the US and Canada, because almost no food is raw. The FDA hates raw. You can also grow your own vegetables. If you're interested in a raw food diet, contact me and I'll ask my friend about it. (She knows a lot about raw food diets.)
Also, put your pets on a good diet, too! Raw meat and veggies are good. If you are looking for information on a raw diet for your pets, search Google for "<animal> BARF diet". ("cat BARF diet", for example.) Make sure you do your research, though. Find out what is best for your pet!
well... maybe the no toilet thing is the reason for:

Alternatively, live in Africa.
And Boojum: You're telling me her butt was grafted to the couch. How the heck do you get rid of waste? Magic?
Damn those people who eat, I'm surprised anyone likes them. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I believe he loathes fellows afflicted by obesity due to a gluttonous nature.
Those who suffer from weight by other means... (i.e., genetics), well, they can't help being the way they are, can they? For them, it is a disease they had no control over. For the former, it was a condition they brought amongst themselves from their feeding frenzy.
Ambivolence and a steady access to crappy food will do it.

I'm 155 kg. Sure, I'm 6 ft 6, but I am carrying a lot of weight. The thing is, I don't know *why*.
I'm walking 6.5 km in the morning 5 times a week on average. I eat 2 meals a day, one of which used to be a small bowl of cereal and is now just a single peice of fruit with some natural yoghurt. I eat a small dinner with plenty of vegetables. No bread. No milk. I drink around 2 litres of water a day. When i go out, the unhealthiest thing I'll eat is a kebab (the ones with vegetables and meat in turkish bread, don't know if Yanks call them somethign differant).
I just can't see what I'm doing wrong. I feel great; no more chest pains, rectal bleeding, headaches, liver cramps or shortness of breath, all of which i used to get a year or so ago. The only problem is an absolute zero net weight loss. Heck, last month I *gained* half a kilo.
I *need* to gain some weight.
I'm fifteen, 5"11 and weigh only 110lbs. I eat like any other teen though - I have a huge supper, then go out with my buds for Quarterpounders.
I probably lose more weight while I chew! I mean... I'm on the edge of being *Unhealthily* underweight.
What can I do?
P.S. I really don't mean any offense here. I am not saying, "Ha-ha! Lookit me, I'm skinny! In your face!" I am NOT saying that. I really don't mean to boast or anything. It's just... is there a healthy way to gain weight?

What he said, but I'm 17. At the moment I'm pondering exercising more just so I bulk up a bit. A few years or so ago I got decent abs from about a week or two of coughing fits when I had a cold.

Well you should be. Man, you are one lucky SOB. I got these damn Irish/Slavic genes, they aren't helping much.

First of all, DON'T try to gain weight by eating more. That will be even worse than being underweight.
What you should do is this:
Exercise more. Go for walks. Walk for hours every day. Don't jog or run, that puts a strain on your ankles and weakens them. Just walk. Go at a slow pace and enjoy the scenery. Also, ride a bicycle. Ride it between cities, or around town. Use it instead of a car to get places. Or just walk to the places. You have to build up some muscle. You can try weightlifting, if you want, but be very careful. It's very easy to strain your muscles and cause negative effects.
hence why i look like i'm pregnant
I worked at a pizza place for 7 months when I was 17 (a few years ago). I took home pizzas quite often and baked pizzas while there occasionally. (It was a take and bake pizza place, but we had a small oven for making samples.) I managed not to gain any weight, even though I was not active at all. It is hard to gain weight when you are young (if it isn't happening on its own). As long as you don't feel like you are unhealthy, or have a doctor telling you that it is a problem, I wouldn't worry about only weighing 110 pounds. As long as you aren't losing weight, anyway.
