    im afraid alot of people will no longer play lost, simply because of the fact that the crash bug was so damn annoying. i remember my first game on lost after the bug appeared...i thought everyone leaving was just because they didnt like the map <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    anyways, lost does rule hard. but............................

    isnt there supposed to be a NEW NS MAP?

    if it's a CO map someones gonna die. ive played every map concieved and they all suck with the exception of kestrel, faceoff, and that one that everyone says is rubbish but infact rules so hard it hurts....ahh...core, is it? reason being it rules, is that the games last 2 minutes cause all 6 rines camp at the entrance to the hive and shoot. means i dont have to play it anymore. and what could rule more than that? *annoying as hell*

    Yeah bast, hera, and lost. At least now that that stupid vent can be welded shut. That vent in bast = evil; it unleashed the horrors of bile bomb. Ec and veil are over played, nothing and tanith are fun but i don't see them in the rotation as much.

    BTW I played on a server with some of the old versions of eclipse and tanith with the weldable double res and that funky corridor from aux gen, I wish I remebered which one because that was a trip back in time.

    As a matter of fact, ns_siege maps were inspired by dustbowl. I thin the original map with some tweaking could make a really fun map. I'm amazed at how close minded and threatened some of you feel to this idea. Some of you have major parinoia issues, jeeze...

    I've heard that too. More official maps.

    PS: We get non-official new map all the time, what are you talking about with no new maps?

    I contacted both Narby/Barney and DaveJ, the latter of which never responded. Narby worked with us for quite awhile, and his maps showed a lot of promise, but I believe he never finished either of them. I think it was right around the time he got hired at Gearbox, so that might've been the reason.

    I believe he was the first mapper for NS though.

    I'd love to see something still which is designed specifically for jetpacker vs. lerk&fade arial combat. Large open air spaces with lots of nooks n'crannies for you to fly though and sneak arround are fun.

    PS: my insistent relocation to double in mineshaft (when hive is in sewer) is why some call me the "crazy comm" but when the marines stop bitchin & ramboing andactually follow my orders they are often shocked by a swift victory.     I've always been saying we should have many smaller alternative game modes. Lots of variation, vent for creativity.

    hmm I once tried to get into mapping and after about 2/3 months of constant tinkering my harddrive died, <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> im never going to try to learn to map again

    ps. the last non crashing version of ns_lost I like, the 1.0 versions I wasnt impressed with though.
