What Are They?
<div class="IPBDescription">half animal, half human?</div> i have seen these, "races," ever so rarely, and yet, i find them cool, but what are there names really? what are they called, iv also seen them in FEDA but theres an untranslated part under there name (which im gusseing is the race name) except under Ian, the wolfling, even seph has one in avatar and sig, which has confuzzled me further which makes me think to call it a thirdling?
anyway, im gonna post some pics of a few and maybe you can tell me what they are, and have any other games have them in it, i do think they are pretty cool.
you know youv gottin dumber over the years when you know it has to be a jpg file and you still save it as bmp...
or the classic time where you nearly click post with the attachment field is empty...

Yeah, around 97.6% of the time (made up statistic to prove a point). Those folks are creepy. I think there's one of them on these forums who thinks he's a wolf. Creeeepy.
Same with the anime 'cat ears' thing, it's just pretty damn lame.
I could swear the 3rd one (bird thingy) was from shining force or something....
now, as I have no Idea what this guy is actualy asking about:
Things half human/halff animal tihngs could be:
1) Were creatures (aka werewolf, but others also)
2) simply Anthropamorphic figures (anthropamorphic = asigning human characteristics to animals, it has NOTHING to do with furies)
3) Fury stuff.
they are ussedin:
video games
comics
TV showes
Anime
Movies
Fairytales
Fury stuff
etc
are you asking where those specific 4 are form (As they look to be the same animation style)
As for why I am getting al ltechnical:
this guy probably isn't looking for fury stuff. I also tend to stick up for furys (as there is nothing actualy wierd about them in my eyes, they simply have different sexual turn ons, every one has a few wierd fetishes, and if you have absoloutly 0, well that is your wierd fetish).

Hi!! ^_^
It really depends where you go for the art If you go to an art site that allows any rating of art from g -> xxx etc, no surprises, you are going to get a lot of "less than favourable art that may offend" because people can and will upload that sorta thing. Ditto with the sites dedicated for that kinda thing.
However, in places like deviant art, you get a lot less of the "offensive art", due to their restrictions.
Let's not forget the age old lesson: "Stereotypes are bad kids!" Try to get a balanced set of views before jumping to conclusions.
For the record, I can believe I'm a wolf, or a purple grapefruit <i>and you can't stop me! nyah!! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--></i>
wow, your so open and accepting.
/me smacks med around
grow up mate.
It isn't like he goes around buggering animals (now that would be wrong, but for entirely different reasons).
I have standards. What, you don't?
As for standards:
Standards aply to things you would do.
Morals would be the word you are looking for. And my morals say that any one can do what ever they want untill it garms some one/thing else <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> (thus the no buggering of animals on my watch)
There are some furries who take it too far (I know a good example of one...), but they're not as common as you might think.

How does having sex with another consenting animal (You'd know if they were consenting.) hurt it, if you take the proper steps?
<span style='font-size:6pt;line-height:100%'>If you couldn't tell all that was sarcasm, you need better detection abilities</span>
As for furries, Seph is totally right!!!111oneoneone
<b>It's not normal to think you're something or someone else trapped in another body.</b>
But I was!
<b>It's not normal to think you're something or someone else trapped in another body.</b> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
What determines normal, exactly? What you just described is very common accross the world, and plays a small part even in some religions. (the thinking youre a person trapped in another gender/person's body bit)
That's not what furries are. Some take it too far, yes, but you're implying that ALL of them think that.
and no, thats now what im talking about, actual setenant(spelling, gg66%enflish(it shows extra)) beings, living with humans, not some wierd screwed up ppl who really doo think there part wolf( that whats an asylum is for kids!)
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->I could swear the 3rd one (bird thingy) was from shining force or something....<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> and there is, last i recall, I hear stealth gave them the name shane because it was untranslatable, play SF2 and see if you can find her, and the top 4pics was from FEDA: emblum of justice, its 70% translated and a SNES game (just like shining force too...)

not insanity, living with famly, normal is diffrent for everyone, ironic...

:O I loved that game! well...1 and 2, on emulator....2 always crashed when I beat the last boss!!!!

I do believe you missed my little disclaimer there.

He has a point. You can't really define normal.
If a guy who practices Hinduism were to walk in to a butcher shop, they'd think we are the foulest creatures on Earth for slaughtering and consuming cows.
If a guy from Afgahnistan (assume its not one of the rational people) saw a man get reprimanded for doing something bad by his femal boss, they would think horrible, horrible things about them.
Et cetera.
I do believe you missed my little disclaimer there. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
no, i noticed it, i meant the topic went to crap.
and on the 15 min later note on which i came back for, thx defiance, iv been looking for a pic for raziel for a new avatar.
no, no one got what you were asking, I answered as many things that I thught you COULD be asking (please explain wth you wanted, and I will try to answer <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)
For why I find Beastiality wrong:
You can't know that they are concenting simply b/c they can't speak (and I will not take body language as speach for this case. I am rather strict about what I consider concent, thats it realy.) We also can never truly know what an animal is thinking, or if it realy udnerstands what is going on. Simply why I can't stand it.
As for people who think they are one thing traped in a second's body.
So what?
So long as they harm no-one/nothing then what is wrong with it?
Oh, and remember, harm = Physical, mental, pyschological, freedom, ownership, etc etc etc.
Thus some one who is harming society by being a drain on it b/c of their inability to help society, then has a problem (what we do with said people is a compleatly different story).
As for Beast, are you a furry? (I seem to remember that you were not one, instead the entire wolf deal was much more spiritual)
[edit] oh well, I was wrong.
I remember you talking alot about the spiritual stuff, and never about the furry stuff <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
that wouldn't happen to be me, by chance? o.O. Because that's what's happened with me o.o.
In reply to thansal, *gasp* yes, I am a furry <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> - And the spiritual thing still applies though <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Normal is defined by culture. Culture isn't run by people with personality detachment disorders. Since most people DON'T have a detachment disorder, I'd say they are abNORMAL.
As for the 'Not hurting anyone', I wouldn't be so sure. For one, their brain functions abnormally, it's not right. A malfunctioning brain is unstable, and dangerous. A great many sites, specifically <a href='http://www.wolfrivals.org' target='_blank'>http://www.wolfrivals.org</a>, a site that Beast endorses, has several threats at not only commiting crimes like vandalism and robbery 'because they deserve it', but there's parts where they talk about murdering humans and skinning them because it's justice. Idle threats? Idle hands are the devil's playground.
You still think they're 'harmless'? Maybe if I read from a random person, who'd I assume to be normal, that 'I'm gonna kill so-and-so' I'd take it as a joke. But when we have mental diseases at hand, I wouldn't take kindly to people who need help threatening to kill me because I eat HAMBURGER, which, according to the leader of that site, is an atrocity because 'it's not indiginous to this land'.
I'm gonna stop now since a search showed that this has been brought up before, and people got suspended and stuff. But nothing I've said here can be construed as 'inflammatory', simply my opinion. I wouldn't think a paranoid-schizophrenic would totally be a Mr. Rogers who I'd want as my neighbor, and people would agree. How someone with detachment disorder threatening to shoot people hunting is much different, I don't know.
