Having the marines go for the "opposite" hive on the map first, and not rushing the alien hive straight away is inifinately more fun. I've not been in one server where anyone enjoys a hive rush a couple of minutes in to the game.

If the comm is spending his time concentrating on stopping an onos get away then ultimately he's not concentrating on something else on the map. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Onos was just an example, that could be fade, gorg, lerk.. Point was it gives an advantage for 1 person to control a door/elevator from a save position, sure it takes effort to actually know when its a good time to use a switch to do this. But if we take this possibility from the comm away, it might endure the lifespin of certain alien thus making atleast ABIT more balanced playing ground for each side.

You say its a weakness for Onos in NS, i say its a weakness for EVERY alien in Classic, shouldnt we get rid of it?

Of course not, where did I suggest we get rid of anything!?

I just think your balance complaints are misplaced. The problem is much larger than a comm having enough time (probably the aliens fault) to close doors on aliens, aliens need boosts.

But if you're an alien that is running into a group of marines being watched closely enough by their comm to do such a thing, and you're alone or can't handle it...then...well, thats not really the games fault is it.

Yeah, the problem is larger, but if we take out little things like this, it might get the problem atad smaller.. so forth, maybe helping to balance the game atleast abit. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
