What triggers these Voices? The 2 Marine ones are tiggered by Voice Comms, but I dunno how to make them use those preticular ones.

Really? Well, in the 2 years I've been playing NS, I've only heard them a few times. It's pretty rare. I suppose it could be a MOD for certian servers, but I wanted to make sure.

Now we donce(its with a o, damnit!) is triggered by having 3 hives.
Never heard the JP thing or damn ammunition request.
This Place is a mess I believe triggers at a certain kill count, however I am unsure.
<b>Edit:</b> 1 and 4, they're part of the game regularly. 4 is an easter egg and is controlled by a server variable. mp_easteregg or something I believe. I'm pretty sure 1 is played only when a hive's building is complete.

You mean all 4 are from MODs? Or just the Marine ones?

This place is a mess is generally a sign of loss, I don't know what triggers it.

japanese voice --> if you do the "alien spotted" thing over and over it sometimes does that...dunno if its a mod...u need to do it like a dozen times sumtimes

What!? I'm English, and I don't say "donce"! Its just supposed to be a freaky weird alien voice. And considering the Kharaa can't generally speak english, they probably have a hard time with pronounciation.
Also, when aliens are being attacked, it says something along the lines of <i>"Hive porn is under attack". </i>I would SO like to know what its actually saying.
EDIT: And actually, "This place is a mess" is played when a certain number of aliens are dead I believe, hence theres a mess....

The vowel sounds of "hive porn" indicate to me that you're actually referring to "lifeform": <i>"Lifeform is under attack"</i>. Obviously, one of those played when players get hit.
i cant seem to find tose hive sounds, but i know ive heard both of them.
also on a side note i found some pretty cool turret sounds in the turret folder, there are 4 of them, and 3 of them are unused. i know one of them is from 1.04 though. check those out because i liked one of them better then the one that is used so i just renamed it.

Waaay back in the 1.0x days, my little local community chanced upon this little strange sound (along with "now we d0nce" and stuff), and it sounded like "Live Porn is under attack!". Man those were great times.
Also, when there are no gorges on the team, the hivemind will say "We need builders."
Anyone remembered 1.0x sensories? Aaaaand wrong. It's "donce" intentionally. Donce is in the same vein as ponce, another hearty Natural Selection tradition. So remember: it doesn't just <i>sound</i> like donce, it <b>is</b> donce.
Thats another MOD. I think it's either triggered manually by an Admin, or when the Aliens are getting torn appart by Marines.

is because of it's kinda an English accent.
You see, there's lots of different English accents, apparently the kharaa have a posh englishman doing their narration.
Just to clarify:
Someone from the south-east of England would say "would you like to donce"
Someone frmo the north of England would say "ay up, fancy a dance lass"?
anyway. that probably doesn't mean anything to anyone.
ah well.
