    Get rid of the edges around that vent omg, ns_nancy had those and people were always **** at how it took 10 secnods to get into a freaking vent.

    Just wanted to let you guys know two exciting things <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> (well I think they are..so ner if you don't <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

    1. <b>Trailer is 75% Complete.</b> The whole thing is scripted and so forth, just need to finish up some CGI stuff and then record some more in-game footage.
    2. <b>Map is 82% complete.</b> All that is left to do is to put a stamp of approval on one more "marine area" (hate saying "marine area" cause it really isn't a marine base..but anyways). Then the hive complex needs to be made. The whole things will be whacked together - add particle systems and sound effects - and wha-la! finished. Maybe even in time to see if it can be an official map for beta 6? (Fingers crossed)

    Anyways..that's all I wanted to add.

    I think a trailer is important, it helps with the atmosphere a lot. I mean, I know that the level design will already have tons of atmosphere and backstory, but a trailer really brings it to a new level..

My map (ns_incubus) is a also a dig of sorts... it's an infested mining station... but gods it looks NOTHING as sexy as this thing... this map will kill me computer...     <b>Bullethead</b> : It shouldn't do. The w_polys <b>will be</b> within the guidelines of a co_ map (max 700 or so). So it shouldn't harm your computer at all. If you want the secret to how our map looks? Here it is...

    Plan. Plan. Plan some more. Then get a gifted mapper like Naigel and a really gifted lighting artist (like Belg) and put them to work. It's that simple.

    I can't plan ahead... it's truely impossible for me to plan ahead on something like this... I can do a general idea... but it all happens as it happens XD


    I'd be honoured to assist and learn from you guys in a future mapping project (I'm actually fairly skilled with the editor itself.. it's simply figuring out what LOOKS good that's the problem for me XD... that and lighting as I'm still learning what looks good and what doesnt)

    I've already been flamed by people enough over my beliefs regarding meaningful maps (made through purpose as opposed to made by aesthetics)..so I wont rant about that again....but seriously - I believe it's the only reason that our team has come up with the goods so far. It was all planned from the beginning.

    i fear the pics portray the map as more washed out than it really is in this room. but yeah, i'd say this is one of the best looking rooms in the map. or at least, i'm the most pleased with it, or nearly the most pleased with it. of course, i also spent more time on it than almost every other room, along with naigel of course. ^_~
