The higher your weapons skill in that feild the slower the weapons degrade, I mean can a random person off the street use a machine gun? No they put thigns in the wrong way a few tiems and jam the gun.
You can learn the proper way to operate (if not skillfully) almost any rifle in the world by downloading a manual off the internet... don't tell me your MARINE character (which I chose) is going to jam his pistol by reloading it.

actualy weapons skill had nothing to do with how slow/fast it degraded (If I remember) that was MAint/repair.
Maint was the sickest skill, upping the charge capacity on all energy devices, once you got to a certain point you nearly had unlimited ammo as you could always get to a charge station before you ran outa ammo <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
And yah, never played psionics either, not realy sure why....
