I don't know I just feel like I'm clicking and keying stuff but for the most part not knowing what I'm doing.. also after my second failure at the wall jumping (forcing me to the beginning) I gave up for now.
beginning of post edited to be more logical now that I've merged Moq's new thread with my old one this one looks to be alot more combat orientated.. i keep dying cos on that move where you kick off the enemy i seem to send myself flying... off the edge..
but all in all it seems very bland.. sort of like a lord of the rings ps2 game clone...

I played it and can't wait to play it on Gamecube, where I know the control scheme will sort itself out. I'm a little worried about the drabness of the graphics; it's a profoundly darker game than Sands of Time. But I'm confident it'll work itself out.
It LOOKS swell. Combat seems a little confusing, hopefully the manual will offer clarification. The demo offered too few puzzles to show whether they'll be just as enjoyable this time around, but in this regard I have faith.
By the way: If the boss battle bugs out on you, try smashing the pedestal that your new sword was resting on, that worked for me.
Oh, and the Prince can say "****" now, just to prove how totally badass he is.
It was on this month's UK PC Gamer, if nobody's mentioned that yet.
The good:
* More fluid combat - I feel more in control of him in this game than SoT * Bump-mapping - I like to know my graphics card is doing what I paid for it to do * Using traps to kill the enemy * Dual-wield fun - I guess that was in SoT too, ish
The bad:
* The rawk soundtrack - I liked SoT's charmingly innocent sitars. The guitars here just don't fit to my mind. * Boss fights (gah!) - I hate boss fights with a passion. I could write essays on the subject. * Time-delay spike traps - ie if you try tiptoeing through like in SoT and earlier PoP games they'll get you * The hints' assumption that you're using a keyboard - "Press E then space" what's E on my joypad? * edit: also the cussing - SoT was full of charm and rather light-hearted. I don't want my character calling some woman he barely knows a ****. I'm not like that. ^^
I'll probably end up buying it, but I am rather wary now.
It's a radical change, he's so brutal now. He thinks he's such a badass it's not as...charismatic. And the music is not that Persian at all In the SoT I liked the music progression and it felt right (maybe except at some ending parts) but the music is very out of place now.

Did it twice already, it works.
While I like the addition of the blood and the darker atmosphere, I agree with Maus about the language. It doesn't "prove how totally badass he is." Wielding two weapons and pressing click-click-e and then e-click before the move ends (or the inverse, e-e-click and then click-e) shows how totally badass he is [edit]Yes I know the dual weapon tutorial teaches the click-click-e and e-click-click, but they don't tell you you can add to it. Nor do they tell you that when you have one weapon and flip over an enemy with e, you can keep holding it and have something totally different than jumping high into the air and coming down with a slash or kick.
I really found the demo a disappointment. Short, buggy, and unpolished. I really wish it had a bit more platforming and showing of environments. The whole thing felt like a combat demonstration. They never even said ANYTHING about the time reverse feature. In fact, I wasn't even aware I could do it until the second level after mashing random buttons.
