its done.
perhapps if the devs had given me any inclination they were interested in it when i first submitted it months ago, but as they didnt ive just had to keep on improving it and ill submit it again tmmrw (providing sorcerer will kindly host it for me and after he goes thru hopefully the final bug checks)
but a comment like that is kinda disheartening tbh, if any of u hav ever tried to make a map like this in ns with a group of ppl (yes i still havnt got hold of darkhand to tweak the sounds) u wuld soon realise how many problems and work arounds r required just to get the thing playable let alone actually teaching the nubs.
my combat map (co_teabag) of similar quality took about a month to make, this, a project which many other official mappers hav tried and given up on, has taken since last summer to make, so cut me some slack.
sorcerer gave it 5 out of 5 s

Firstly, my apologies for being away from these forums for so long. Got myself a job, but alas, they have no Internet connection. So now I'm stuck at home with good old dial-up. Due to the graphic nature of the site, it runs as slow as hell for me, which explains why I'm only around infrequently. (The last time I was around was well over a month ago, but I'll try and pop around more often now.)
Secondly, for those wanting to know when it will be released, it will be released when it's released, not a moment before, not a moment after. My advice to this forum is to stop bugging Meat Popsicle about release dates; you could well be the straw that breaks the camel's back. I've been involved with many open-source projects, and I have seen project members withdraw their support (and even projects being abandoned) because unneccessary user presure got too much. Now, I would hate to see it happen to this map, and I'm sure that you wouldn't want this to happen either.
(Besides, it looks like it will be released shortly. Just show some patience.)
Thirdly - and this is for Meat Popsicle - I've recently started a friend of mine on NS. I've given him a copy of beta3 (the latest version of the map that I've got) and am awaiting his feedback. Once I receive it, I'll pass it on to you via private message. (Although most reported issues, if any, are probably fixed by now.)
heh the difference to b3 is quite big And I totally agree with Ron2k here. The trainings map is a tricky and big project because so many people where involved in it. Coordinating and controlling the people involved, and progressing the map itself is a huge deal. And I really don't envy Meat Popsicle for the job he was/is doing. I've tested the latest build yesteday which he submitted to the developers, and it really is an amazing piece of work, which feels, except one small bug he can't fix at the moment, completed. (The bug is still the incorrect naming of the catalyst pack in the soundfiles)
You will be able to download and play the map. But pretty please be patient. Either the devs like it, and it get's included, or they dislike it, and it get's publicly released. Which way it ever will go, you will have the map in the end. You just have to be patient a bit more
