The thing that annoyed me about Radiant was the lack of resizing dongles on the brushes...am I missing something, is there a way to turn these on?
That aside, I'm slightly disapointed with the look of DoD:S right now, but I'm guessing their first priority is porting the game, then they can make it look nicer and add all the features that become availble with the Source engine... *crosses fingers*

You don't need them. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> You just drag on the selected brush to move it, outside it to drag and resize. It also can resize multiple non-planar brushes at once as well as beveled or oddly-shaped brushes, correcting shape and vertices accordingly.

One thing that's always bugged me about editors is that they're usually tailor made to fit whatever game they're supposed to work for (IE: Hammer and HL; Quark and Quake 1; Q3 Rad and Q3; World Edit for WarCraft 3; etc etc) yet sometimes something crops up that looks like it was just a quick hack-job to fit the game in question, like Doom 3's "editor" which seems to be nothing more then a beefed-up and patched Radiant for use with D3. (Because i distinctly remember seeing "Q3 Radiant" or a similar phrase SOMEWHERE in the D3 editor)

UnrealED was one of the best editors I've ever used. I worked on a single player Deus Ex mod for over six months and made several maps with it. I can understand why people have trouble with it but it's definately worth sticking with it until you learn the ins and outs.
