Oh the drama...
see whats going on and the second video more than makes
up for it when you can see her struggle to explain herself.
Oh and, who was presenting that show? Looked like
Jude Law but I couldn't be bothered going "FULL SCREEN"
and taking a proper look.
dear god this made me chuckle.
Aren't all of those current "hip" "pop" "cool" "down low"
type of singers from the same family or something?

It's the next step in 'Manufactured Bands'
Breeding them selectivly like they do cows and race horses. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
<a href='https://home.comcast.net/~mr.mojo/Oops.wmv' target='_blank'>https://home.comcast.net/~mr.mojo/Oops.wmv</a>
It is real.
I think they're asking if it's real in the context of 'or is it staged?'
...still funny though <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
(<3 Ashlee- and yes, that IS the way her name is spelled.)
The whole idea is ridiculous <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The way she "explained" why this incident happened is the actual proof that this must be real.

She sang the origional song in a studio, with all that that implies...
Live songs are hardly ever like the actual recorded song due to the changes made in the studio (see avril lavine, or however you spell it, for a perfect example). However, lip-syncing is fairly pathetic and should always be looked down upon in live performances.
And this is exactly why they sync instead of sing.
She can't *create* those needed voices by herself, so the studio guy has to use his skills to add some effects. The product is a non live singable song (what a sentence).
...priceless.
Becouse she felt embaressed, no one should know that she is not singing. Blaming the band for this showes us that she can't/won't take responsibility for her own faults.
I think they cut off the vocals after a moment
She could have easily sung those parts and had an effect added to the output on the fly..much in the same way guitars change how they sound. Its very possibly and she could have sung it live. But she didnt, she sync'd.
And got caught out, haha.
It is worth noting, though, that a lot of live performances still have the background vocal tracks (since they don't always want to pay background singers to go on tour with them or they do them themselves <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->), but that doesn't necessarily mean one recorded voice means the entire thing is lip-synched. I think it's pretty lame, but it's not as shifty as lip-synching (and there's usually no one even pretending to be making those noises in the first place <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)
Now if you want to see some impressive background vocal work live, check out Howie Day. Not my kind of music so much but it's incredible - the guy just plays over looping tracks of himself he recorded just seconds before. -That- takes talent. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
