Photoshop Skill Time!

W00!
I got a quick project for ya. See if you can take this picture, and make it really detailed. I want to see what Photoshop in its own right can do, since I have never been able to do much with it, mind you.

Should we put some holes in it, or make it look like a christmas tree?
Unless I am mistaken this is for the port or audia turok remake.
I'm a Wadfather fanboi to da max!
Tell you what if you guys make a whole bunch of good textures I'll put them in a wad and submit it to the wadfather. (that is if somebody doesn't beat me to it)
one thing though, this thread is in the wrong forum. Sorry, but we need to keep it organized.

Seriously though I love threads like this. Phase into artwork I guess? And then we continue conversation.
You should really find a way to export the real texture in a lossless format.
I honestly cant open the original texture files in T2 on the computer. The format is weird, (.DAT) and wont let me open it with anything. If you want to take a crack at it, PM me, and I'll send you a copy in your email. Otherwise, let the show continue!
I just made it black and white (the colors were messed up), applied a color, twisted it around to get a stright line, cropped a bit and finished off in image ready so it loops nicely.

The texture.

Texture looping.
I know it sux, but it's the best i could do with this material in a short time.
My "texture" is not made from scratch, I took your posted pic and turned it into a (crappy) looping texture. The lines aren't vertical because your screenshot doesn't show the wall in a good angle.
Ok I'm not sure that would work at all, now that I said it. But I will risk suggesting the idea, since I am relatively ineffective with photoshop, even when I'm serious.
As for the darkness, my photoshop skills are as n00b as they were yesterday. I cant help ya.
Perhaps if we just even up the bricks it will look cool?
~edit~
Can somebody do something cool with this texture?

Hey joda, if you cut it up horizontally you could fix that "unrealistic brick" problem. All you have to do is move it over half a brick and skip every other layer of bricks. Then they will no longer be perfectly adjacent to each other, just like you want it.
The bricks are not the problem, the shading is. I managed to balance the colors so it looks nearly equal when you look at it, but when I loop the texture it looks awful.
No
Bleh, I'll IM you.
some minor color issues... what can i say... 5 min job...
