um... you say there's a .Dat file containing textures? I think time would be better spent trying to parse that than cleaning up screenshots. Someone send it to me and I'll see what I can rip out.
The .dat file contains no actual textures, it's a binary format, the textures were totaly converted and I don't know the algorithm. I compiled some found sources, but it was the wrong algorithm, I just got a black bmp with some random colored dots.
In my opinion we can not extract the textures (if this is the right file anyway) without some special converter, I found none.
btw, my second try, this time i added some "detail". Original / Edited <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/jumpingjoda/texture0.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /> <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/jumpingjoda/texture4.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

Okay now that I got that out of my system, is there anyway you can get us the textures through some other source? Maybe if you contact the people who made it?
They are no longer available. Other than that, they also dont contain the rights to their own games anymore. The Turok License is now in the hands of the people who gave it to them.
Im not sure how to get ahold of the textures anymore if that doesnt work.

I hope your not planning to remake a game's textures using screenshots of its walls <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
