Suplex?

help kinda...
ok... to clarify something- the suplex is the bit between your lungs and below your ribs? if not you know where I mean... the place that winds you when you get punched.. anywas here the story then something else,,,,,,,,,

ok tonight... 4 hours ago? some kid (year younger than me I think) down the twon - yes that makes him 17 (i am 18)

so anyways he says he can knock me ou twith one punch.. i offer him the chance several times - by counting to twenty then saying "I'll walk off if you haven't.." this happens alot... but then comes to the time that I count down to zero and his friend is there punching my in the suplex (?) and tis REALLY winds me, but lucky as I am - bouncers run over and... unh (or something) to the other guys and make sure I am alright then I walk away.. but here us my question...

is there any way of making your suplex "harder" as in making it less prone to "wind" you? because I mean.. a 17 year old winding me (18) that easy cannot be good... please no flaming... I'm sure nearly everyone is weak there - but just wondering the ways to make it stronger - thanks..

suplex = a WWF wrestling move.

    Solerplexes = that spot

as for how to make your stomach muscles harder?

    Situp/crunches/leg raises

    Proper meathods:
    Sit ups:
knees bent, back flat, arms crossed on chest (no NOT behind your head!)
    bring chest to knees

    Crunches:
Leges raise (thing about sitting in a chair, and then roatate 90 degrees), arms same position
bring sholders about 5 inches off the ground and in (you will feel it when you are doing it right)

    Legraises:
back flat, hands under your arse, legs about 2-5 inches off the ground.
raise legs to 90 begrees and back down to 2 inches, repeate, works best if you can get some one to stand over you to push your legs back down (like toss em).

sit up and leg raises can be improved by adding left and right moovment.
for sit ups, you bring left sholder to right knee, and then the reverse.

for leg raises you have your assistant toss your leggs left or right

Actually, the "don't get in fights" part was actual advice. Don't get in fights. They are bad. Someone might get hurt. Which is bad.

Foolproof way to avoid getting punched: DON'T OFFER PEOPLE THE CHANCE TO PUNCH YOU.

If you really need to fight other people to prove you have men parts south of the mason dixon line, then just deck people when they look sideways at you.

Punk: I could so own you!

    You: ...

Punk: *Can't talk because you just punched him in the throat.*

Replace the word punched with stabbed or shot, depending on the age and/or physical stature of the offender.

    nearly totaly untrue.

the compleate truth is sorta not avaliable (as the one man who was realy there is now dead), but his death was from massive stupidity. He was already sick, there might have been multiple punches, the guy might have been a proffesional boxer, etc etc.

however he was told not to perform, he did. He ct the show short and died shortly there after (no he didn't die on stage)

yeah, definitely. the best place to take a hard punch to the lower torso is in your obliques, which is basically to either the left or the right of where your abs are. you learn that in boxing real early... you can't keep your abs flexed ALL the time.. especially on short notice.

As for the solorplexus, DON'T let people punch you there. Your body says "OUCH! PAIN!" for a reason, and it can break off fairly easily.

break off...? the solar plexus is the pit of the stomach: the area beneath your ribs. you might be thinking of the sternum. a solar plexus blow is so harmful because there is a huge nerve bundle type thingy in there that is pretty easy to strike if the stomach isn't tensed.

Yeah, if you have to take a punch to the gut, flex your chest and try and direct the blow to the left or right side of your stomach. Keeping your hands up high enough to cover your chin, but low enough to keep from getting hit under the sternum helps, as well as turning your body slightly, decreasing possible target area.

Been a long time since I've taken a self-defense class though. Now, if it were swordfighting, I might be able to help you a bit more...

when doing CPR you WILL crack ribs, and the xyphoid proxess (little tip of the sternum) is no where near as storng as your ribs, thus it will break much faster, and then ricochet around in your lungs

If you tense your stomach properly, and average person should be able to take a blow to the solarplexus without too much more than some moderate pain... This acctually goes for pretty much any mucle cluster, you can take a friggin hard hit to the arm and get off with just a dull ache if you are tensed up, but if your mucles are relaxed it will hurt like you wouldn't belive for the rest of the day. Don't let people punch you in area's that aren't layered in mucle, its just asking for damage to be done.

It hurts alot less when its a snap reflex too, as to being prepared and tensing your stomach knowing for well its about to be hit.
