Absolutly mesmerizing work here. I, being a guy, am so glad now that I don't have boobs with body armor :=/ but somehow, this model looks about 10.000X cooler than any other model for NS ever devized. Seriously, when they're making Halo 3, go in der and school em wit da super sexy Master Chief powers of a female!!!! That'd be kinda funny to see the Master Chief with a femail companion running around blasting everything into oblivious (cortana is useless)
AMAZING work. If you gave me a model of just the mesh, i'd use it forever. Keep it up.

Ah sheena, if you ever get that thing low-poly, pm me on irc and I can run it through the direct x mesh tools and see if I can get it low poly while keeping detail... If its gets skinned, that is.
Do you see why the boobplate looks rediculous now?
There is almost no reason why the female armor should devaite from marine armor... think about it any government organization needs to save money and therefore will make the outfits work for either sex
It's really good, just highly unpractical (even in sci-fi land)

1. its up to the artist anyway 2. ever seen female soldiers in real life? you can only tell by their measurements, that means height and their narrow shoulders. and of course when they walk <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
but realize another thing: standart military equipment allways looks TOO big for the slim female soldiers. dunno.
what confuses me is the fact, that a female modeller is doing this great female model. its just little bit unexspected ^^ so this will DEFINETELY be a model for ns: source, right?

ok..to point 1
i really have no clue what you are talking about.
point 2 this are not are not panties, its just padding on the front of the trousers..ive colored it in some pictures different for better contrast between the object groups, it is not a seperate part. if you would look a bit closer to the original marine you would have seen what its supposed to be. i still have to smooth it out for a softer look, but i only want to do that after finishing the details on it. remember..its still work in progress
point 3... uhm... do you really have to care about my job? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> i havent really get what you asked me there..
and heres something for forlorn.. look at the different body sizes and proportions.. how should nancy be able to wear a "standard marine armor that is not different from the marines standard issue model"..it would like running around in a barrell.and if you take a closer look than you would see that the marine armor design got a maleshaped "boobplate" too. a anatomical feature embedded into the design..its not that obvious to see , it just got a "textured" thickness... with higher polycount you are actually able to model it.
ok.. here some updates.. i think about a week old (yes..im teasing you guys with old material) sorry for some clipping errors here and there..im to lazy to fix that for the wip renders.. (oh.. and credits to reddmonkey for his high poly pistol)
Couldn't be an in game model, but its probably the best possible referance for a lower poly model you could possibly have. Being rotatable and mesurable in full 3D and all...
Sheena, I don't know what you're going to do with the helmet material, but I'd suggest decreasing the bump level, because it seems like she's wearing a helmet out of green stone... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
