I would love to see an expansion pack featuring Shepard. He was a good character, and fighting alongside the soldiers was a lot more rewarding than fighting alongside stupid Barney clones.

It has discovered teleportation and invaded Earth. Breen is a collaborator trying to "sell" Earth for some sort of reward. So, the Combine soldiers are a combination of man and alien - most likely human soldiers who were possessed by the fungi. This is probably why they require respirators, to keep themselves alive inside the host.
