As much as it pains me, you're pretty much spot on, NakedDave. It's not a case that it <i>shouldn't</i> matter or whatever, the reality is that it does.

Oh, and Thursday, piercings and tattoos are, generally these days, done through your own decision and for your own reasons. Tattoos, whilst being permanent, are rarely considered anything but cosmetic, as with piercings, although removeable, in western society we don't have any kinds of tattooing rituals or rights of passage, so, basically, it's your own fault for having them, not theirs.

It's not really discrimination, it's not like being discriminating based on your gender, race or sexuality, or any other number of other variables you can't do jack about, it's something you made a conscious choice to do, and, well, it's your own fault really. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I think piercings and stuff is generally considered less, erhm, mildly upon. It's more how you act.

Esuna looks scarily much like my older brother's friend. Said friend takes happypills all the time to keep the darkness away though, and doesn't smoke or anything... and he lives in sweden, of course.
He looked more like him with the beard on.
