Prey outdukes dnf's dev time <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I think the 3d realms should go back and put dnf on the duke3d engine and release it, just for kicks (and release no trailers/screenshots anywhere, not even on the box) haha!

Anyways...they have a lil block near the end saying that DNF is in development on the Doom 3 engine and more info will be relased soon. I think DNF will undergo more engine changes and finally settle on the unreal 3 engine.

If they wanted to make a piece of crap game and move onto the next project they would have released Duke already. But they don't. They want to make a quality product. Every game dev company wants to make a quality product. What separates DNF from all other games is that the devs have had unlimited amount of time to develop it, and if you ask me, it's going to rock all our worlds when it comes out.
IIRC, Duke Nukem Forever was originally Quake II, then it moved to Unreal, and then it had most of Unreal gutted out for a proprietary DirectX 9 renderer with Meqon physics, though there are apparentley small bits of Unreal code left.

I wish I could find, it's been a little over a week since I read it.
3DRealms licensed Doom 3 for Prey.
