Actually I would be happy to see the current version plus gorges able to put up hives again. And maybe some waypoints that could get the bots to the hard to reach commanders chairs.

Why dont you just "join" the NS team, I wouldnt mind it. So that the NS team could make a button for Singleplayer (not via LAN coz that doesnt look professional) or Training, so you can train offline against bots! that would make the game so much more complete <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
i think they should make old eclipse(eclipse gona be revised in 1.1) as the training map <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> .
Joined some random server last night... quickley found it was 3 bot on each side playing themselves.
LMFAO! There was 3 on each team. It was Nancy. The aliens were doing laps in the hole at noname hive. One marine was in the vent under the floor outside their spawn. Another was going back and forth in that little 'under the wall' hole near noname. The third marine was dead, and they hadn't built ips. (I guess they can't comm yet...) I had to go alien and kill the marines just so we could go to another map, where I went commander and proceded to play around with them (by myself) for a bit.
They seem a little hesitant to follow orders, but when they do they do okay. They are good for building stuff they see needing to be built. Aliens just usually run around aimlessly, while the gorge builds the odd thing.
So here's my suggestion. If at all possible, maybe make the bot 'realize' it's going around in circles or stuck in a spot. Say, if 'distance traveled' equals zero while trying to move, go backwards or something or maybe if current position equals same position as a minute ago, try new direction. I dunno how they work, but they get stuck alot is my point. Anyway, keep up the good work... you're on your way with this thing!

Yeah the thing is I do something like this, but its difficult to tell the bot to take the next three ladders over there, there and over there, and stay away from here for a while, because the waypoint follow code isn't great either, they sometimes miss out waypoints or get stuck on ladders on the opposite side, and it's pretty difficult to know what side they are on code wise <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Surprised to find out while testing I never noticed many aliens getting stuck on eclipse, but as they got bigger (into ONOS, they always got stuck a lot :/)

It runs above meta. The bot is loaded in liblist.gam and then it loads meta if it can find it. If it can't it runs NS.dll.
Last I heard, Cheese was working to put the bots back to being loaded by the +mm_gameinfo thing.
That way they won't kill off metamod plugins.
How's it coming Cheeseh?
