    Quoted for truth.

    Though I like sonic, I will always love Mario more <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Mario's good and all, but Luigi's still plotting to murder him and use his skull as a calabash.

Honestly, who would really pick a short, fat, hairy italian plumber who steps on turtles for fun over a colorful pointy-haired speed freak?

A <i>naked</i> colorful pointy-haired speed freak, at that.

Mario never had the guts to only wear gloves and shoes.

Mario? Normal? Well...most people can't fly once they put on a cape. Nor do they ride dinosaurs, sadly.

Most people can't jump on TVs and become sinvincible, or put on some cool shoes and become super fast.

Most people can't collect 100 rings and gain a life, now can they?

Oh, and since my last post, I beat sonic, except I needed ONE more ****ing chaos emerald.

Another thing, you can't save in sonic, making the adventure very hard.

What kind of morons would argue over who's the better character? One's a plumber and one's a hedgehog. It's not Hemingway.

Most of the UK's youth, if the letters sent into various gaming magazines were any indication.

It looks like it didn't die, though. It's alive and well right here...God bless the internet.

Let's just look at the games themselves. Sonic is rather good, but Super Mario World? The greatest 16-bit game? There's no challenging it.

    It'same! Mario!

For once I agree with Esuna. And I think we all can agree that Mario made the transition to 3D slightly better than Sonic <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Speed doesn't transfer well to 3 dimensions. Plus, they tried to throw some big plot behind Sonic Adventure...so it went downhill. Mario is still basically "Koopa is evil, go beat his goons up." They could make an Xbox/PS2/Gamecube game with like 2000 new levels, with no plot (maybe crap you can collect), and I would buy it...because it's fun to go through the levels, not 'getting the climax of the story' (and not that "Super Sonic Collection"...I already own every Genesis and SegaCD Sonic game...

That said, the only game that does speedy well in 3D (that I've played) is Ninja Gaiden on Xbox.

[edit: /\ speaks the truth (I would even be willing to throw Jurassic Park for SNES on there (bah, no save feature...I must be the only person who loved that game <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)]

I liked Jurassic Park on the old SNES.

Was fun, if a little hard. Damn T-Rex....
