If you killed everyone in a village, you couldn't convert it. Pretty counter productive. If you wanted a village without decimating most of it, you'd have to play nice; you'd get your creature to go other there and do nice miracles over and over, or even worse, have to do them yourself (if you're just in reach).

I'm hoping in B&W 2 that you can convert by subjugating a village with an army. I'm also hoping that they make it more enjoyable to play as a good guy; there wasn't much enjoyment to be had from managing the villagers. A bit more depth there would do wonders.

Hopefully they'll deal with the game breaking bugs before release this time round. Sadly, I have a suspicion that the AI part of the game (the most engaging and interesting part) will be whittled away and that most of the game will focus on RTS gameplay.

Yes you could. Once everyone is dead, put a missionary in there, and do anything. Bam, the village is yours.
Of course, you'll have to provide a bunch of breeders to fill the village up, but evil people shouldn't have a problem with that.

And yeah, there's not much for good guys to do. Neutral is the most fun, because you're angelic to your followers and demonspawn to your enemies.

Align is right. I was the God of politically incorrect ethnic cleansing. Sick, but a kickass way to win.

Ah, my mistake, then. It's been ages since I played it...

It was fun to burninate the people the first few times, but after that, it got stale - at least, for me.

I wonder if the horse will be in? That was one of the only creatures to keep its dignity when it was pure good. (:

I thought it was cool set trees on fire then stick a boulder in the middle of them. Wait until it gets hot, then hand it to your creature. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> I'm such a bastard.

Unless you consider fatal application errors on numerous setups and a roughly 50% chance of the game resetting your creature's AI on level change to be serious bugs.

The patches fixed several issues, but numerous game features that were promised never materialised or were simply broken. Taking a dump on the fields, for example, was meant to improve crop growth. Molyneux admitted in an interview that the feature never actually worked in the final game. Additionally, the creature was prone to dying of thirst whilst next to a large body of water, even when taught how to drink. The list goes on.

Even on systems that didn't crash, numerous aspects of the gameplay were broken. Lovely concept though and for several days I thought I'd fallen in love.

Oh, you've got to be kidding me. I spent so much time teaching my beast to poo in the fields, and it did nothing? Makes me dislike the game even more...

Surely most of those will be useless now? You can do at least 2 things with the same miracle.. crush the fireball into some lava... stuff.

Anyway, I want a reviewer who didn't particularly like the first game to post one of his reviews. That'd give a good estimation on how much complaining there's going to be about this one in comparison to the first.
