I've thought to myself to help work out problems or when situations required my concentration. Without realizing it, I was using my own voice to think the things out in my head, but it wasn't as if I were conversing with a duplicate of myself, but rather that I was merely speaking in my head what I normally would be saying out loud. I rarely even notice it's my own voice playing through my head.
I know Leonard Nimoy did something very much to what you're referring, except he spoke to Spock. He used Spock as his source of logic in emotional times. It wasn't as if he said "What would Spock do in this situation", but rather that he thought "Spock, what would you do?" and Spock would answer. As I said before, a little creepy, but at least you're not the only one who does this.

As many others have said, this is probably just a coping strategy you've come up with to help you with.... I dunno. Boredom from the sound of it. Anyone who has ever made up a story, whether in their head or on paper, will know that it is easy to have a character develop to a point where you know exactly what that character would say or do. It sounds like you've essentially done this with yourself.
I tend to use "guys in my head" sometimes. When i'm trying to make a tough descision (arg, teh spleling!), there's one who sounds a lot like yours; just another me. When i'm trying to study for a test or get something important done there's one who tells me to get off my arse and get on with it.
Sound creepy? It really isn't. They arn't personalities seperate from me in any way; they're just guys I made up because I was bored... or really needed to study but couldn't be bothered. In a way they're not really multiple personalities as much as a part of a personality; the part of me that says "OOH! BUY THAT!" and the part that says "Dude, you have no money" for example.
Incidentally I think this happens to EVERYONE at some point. I mean, who here can honestly say they don't have this guy? (some bad language, posted it before and a mod ok'd it)
Ghost in the shell... anyone? I've never heard of something like this before. Sure I speak to myself sometimes but I'd never personify one part of the conversation. That's just... strange.
Definetly understand what you mean. Noticed it a year or two ago. One internal me whose the personification of the physical me, and then other spin offs for parts of my personality. I can get them to stop talking, but never have to push them to say something. They do that themselves. I consider it the same as say Tiffany Aching from Wee Free Men or Hat Full of Sky.
I can understand why the thought of this creeps people out, but at the same time I can't show how everyone doesn't have these voices.

I thought I was just crazy. Sometimes I notice that when I'm trying to convince myself to talk to a girl. Like I think that I shouldn't and then I get mad at myself and think that I should.
My counselor said it was nothing to worry about when I told him (I'm similar to you, but the other "voices in my head" aren't my normal personality). I'd go with the "coping strategy" crowd. No need to get rid of it unless it's holding you back in anything.

Anyway, sometimes in very early morning if I've slept less than 5 hours I have an internal voice that I can talk to. But generally here's how I handle the conversation.
Me2: Damn, it's cold this morning. Me: Shut the **** up. Me2: But look! The grass is frosty. Me: Shut the **** up. Me2: What time is it? Me: Shut the **** up. Me2: Oh ****, you left a muffin on the counter. Me: Shut the **** up.
And about then, the voice is gone and life resumes as normal.

Mantrid can you test this er... voice? Set him a number to remember that you know you couldn't possibly remember and then request the number a few hours/days later. (Store the info somewhere on your pc to make sure he's correct.)
If you can find advantages along these line to having another...er... voice then you might as well try putting it to good use.
Oh and EDIT: ask him about the people he refered to tell you were telling him about this topic. He said something like "ohnoes my people are doomed" ?
Well I guess this has exploded into something it shouldn't have...
Honestly no one needs to freak out. Let's all take a step back and remember that this isn't Dissociative Identity Syndrome, ok? This is just some kids working out a conversation in their minds.
As for the more friends thing, I'm pretty sure that won't change anything. Throughout Junior High and High School I must have hung out with everyone under the sun, people of all types. But I still had an internal voice that was really just my own.
I'm more of a spiritual person than most in this topic most likely(this isn't a comment on anyone's faith/ect. please don't eat me!) and thus, I am inclined to believe it may be something more supernatural or soul-related. Yar...I don't know much on that though, would say maybe some spirit or something, but if you both know you are both 'you', then I'm not sure...all very complicated I am sure. :X
Sidenote: I haven't read any of this topic beyond the first page as I don't have much time right now, so keep that in mind. :X

Yes it could! In the US, you could be committed. Immediately, against your will. And they'll force you to take drugs.
Mantrid, don't worry about it. He's not causing you any harm and you get along pretty well with him, so don't bother seeing any professionals about it. The most they'll do is make you take drugs that will adversely affect your body and mind.

And if he's destroying something truly wonderful and amazing, instead?
Mantrid, IM me on AIM or MSN or something, please?
I don't know if it's the same thing, but I used to get something like this. I think that was just talking to myself, though - kind of like redirecting my output back to my input so that I'm responding to my own thoughts as if someone else had said them.

It has been my experience that voices in your head are neither wonderful, not amazing.
(some bad language, posted it before and a mod ok'd it)
I've never heard of something like this before. Sure I speak to myself sometimes but I'd never personify one part of the conversation. That's just... strange.
I can understand why the thought of this creeps people out, but at the same time I can't show how everyone doesn't have these voices.

Probably because you've never had a friend who has ones that aren't causing problems. They don't usually talk about it with people who aren't close friends, because there are people who want to put them on every drug under the sun to fix something that isn't even a problem.
Set him a number to remember that you know you
couldn't possibly remember and then request the number
a few hours/days later.
(Store the info somewhere on your pc to make sure he's correct.)
If you can find advantages along these line to having another...er... voice
then you might as well try putting it to good use.
Oh and EDIT: ask him about the people he refered to tell
you were telling him about this topic. He said something like
"ohnoes my people are doomed" ?
Honestly no one needs to freak out. Let's all take a step back and remember that this isn't Dissociative Identity Syndrome, ok? This is just some kids working out a conversation in their minds.
As for the more friends thing, I'm pretty sure that won't change anything. Throughout Junior High and High School I must have hung out with everyone under the sun, people of all types. But I still had an internal voice that was really just my own.
Sidenote: I haven't read any of this topic beyond the first page as I don't have much time right now, so keep that in mind. :X

It could be a mini alien that crawled inside your ear when you weren't looking, and it is slowly taking over your mind, but without you noticing.
For all you know, in two weeks, you could be a mindless zombie, incapable of manipulating your body, and then god knows what the alien could make you do!
ever seen the film hide and seek?!
