    Babblers were skulks, man, and spawning another gorge would be catastrophic. Building a massive wall of offensive doom in half the time, including cloak and defense and movement chambers backing them all up.

    No, but picture a gorge spewing out 3 or 4 skulks in random directions hopefully heading for the eneny and then exploding, wreaking havoc to nearby marines and equipment.

    a babbler is a skulk, controlled by AI. It does everything a skulk does, but is dumb, (runs into walls and stays, stays in corners, takes hits from marines and keep hitting equipment,) weaker (weaker attacks, less HP), and xenocide at the end when they are done.

    I would like to see the CODE for babblers put back in, like spikes are, but not officially in, so admins can use them to their discretion.

    fyi though, if a gorge has the ammount of res to build a WOL, at hive three, it wont really make a difference if he has a babbler-gorge building with him. A babbler-gorge isnt smart enough to build its own, nor does it posses res to do so.
    But even if it isnt a single babbler/babbler gorge. Babblers in NS would be great, and babblers in CO would make it even better.

    I was just suggesting a single babbler gorge since it doesent boost the gorge's offensive abilities as much as babblers would. But it has better effects on defense for the gorge.

    Why not have the gorges just spit out modified-snarks (since that's basically what babblers were). Gorges could launch them like bile bombs, and they could attack marines and structures.

    That would take the whole skulk part out of it while still retaining the essence of what babblers actually were AND retain the purpose of a bile-bomb type weapon.

    I'm sure there are plenty of modellers in the NS community that could make an NS style Snark/Babbler.

    This would be a grand idea, because then server admin's could CHOOSE which one's they would want in the game. Then we could all be for Babblers, because even if they do get put in, not everyone will be forced to use them.
