Well, sure, not quite what I had in mind...
*watches clocky roll into room, play cheesy wake-up jingle and then spray lead everywhere*
edit: but when it rolls away and hides how do you find it?! after it stops beeping? =o
seeing it has to be controlled wireless ( batteries) by the time id wake up it would be dead
I used to put it at the foot of my bed, the idea being that I'd be forced to get up to reach all the way to the end of my bed to turn it off. The thing is, one morning I discovered I'd slept in despite my alarm being set (and it's set to turn on the radio, LOUD. It's not possible to sleep through it). I was perpelexed until I started to remember that when the alarm had gone off I'd shot forward, switched it off, fell back into bed and went back to sleep, all in one smooth movement and without properly waking up in the process.
This time it's so far away I'd have to be entirely out of bed with none of my body even touching the bed. Let's see me get out of that one.

I managed to...
I just threw my Transition To College Math (last years math book) at it... I swear, that damn book weighs like, 8 pounds...
Not only did I hit the snooze button, but I also made it FLY off the table, unplugging it in the process...
oh, and I fell back asleep as well 0o' I've slept thru the friggan SMOKE detectore before... let me tell you, that is scary to know 0o'
I've caught myself sleep walking to the alarm, turning it off, and going back to bed.
Previously I thought my alarm had broken or something, then I half woke up during it one time, as soon as my fumbling fingers hit the off button I fell back asleep and must've gotten back in bed.
Once, on the way back from the bathroom after my dad woke me up for school, I missed the doorway and ran smack into the wall...
I hit it so hard that, being a 1 foot thick barrier wall, I knocked the cordless phone off the other side...
oh, BTW- I hit it HEAD FIRST 0o'
If running into a wall hard enough to knock the phone off isn't an alarm, the impact of that square on your face sure is
Cause I have no memory of
A) Going upstairs (my rooms in basement)
B) Going to bathroom (only reason I know I was is cause my dad told me)
C) Walking from bathroom to wall
It's not till I hit the wall that I start havin memories 0o'
Unfortunately, my subconscious has been getting more and more clever... I'll get up and turn off all of the alarms (and turn the stereo to zero) then fall into bed, only half-awake.. enough to have a pressing need to be back in the nice warm bed that's so comfy.
But even past that, apparently I've picked up the phone some days (intercom phone, had a roomie call me) and had a perfectly rational conversation, without waking up. I've promised things without consciously knowing, all in the name of getting more sleep-time. :b It's getting really annoying at this point.
Why I'm kinda psyched about having all my alarms actively run away from me. I'll HAVE to wake up to chase them down... until I'm awake, they'll be moving a lot faster than I do.
I once was talking to my g/f in my sleep... she SWEARS I was acting like Cpn. Picard from Star Trek... I was talkin bout fighting 2 romulan Warbirds... 0o' Apparently I kicked their **** too XD
Very old clock. But because my clock vibrates, I have associated it with when my phone vibrates, thus when I get called I instantly get an adrenaline shock O.o .
I also have put it on the other side of my room, I just turn it off and get back to sleep.
I have the ultimate solution!
Get rid of the bed after you turn off the clock and make the room cold, that way I will have to start gettind dressed or leave the room for a shower.
Seems like it could be a cool thing though, my concern is that if it rolls somewhere where the sound is muted, it won't be loud enough to wake me up.
ALL HAIL THE CLOCKY ALLIANCE
